CBBE So Much Nicer In Skyrim. Why?

Why is it that CBBE in Skyrim is SO much nicer than in Fallout 4? Bodyslide bodies in Skyrim are smoother, more realistic and physics works beautifully.....while in Fallout 4, the nude body is lumpier and unrealistic (no matter what I do in Bodyslide) and physics is terrible? I understand the skeletons are different, since the games have different engines and were done by different developers. But the cosmetic differences are staggering.

In my game FO4 females seem smoother due to what appears to be a higher polygon mesh count. Not sure about the games having different engines and developers. I think they both use the Creation Engine, although SSE does not have all the functionality such as letting RaceMenu alter NPCs like LooksMenu. They did have separate teams at Bethesda.

There are many more graphics mods available for SSE. I think graphics people tend to gravitate to Skyrim.

See, I have found just the opposite. It's Fallout 4's CBBE that I find lumpy and unattractive. Skyrim's CBBE body is 20 times smoother than F4's. And it's Skyrim that seems to have the higher polygon mesh. Also, I find that the body in Skyrim looks EXACTLY like how it appears in-game, while in F4, it doesn't. It's similar, but as I mentioned - not smooth like in Skyrim. Butt is ugly, even although it looks amazing from all angles in Bodyslide. Boobs are unsmooth and kind of dumpy looking as well.

Ofc, CBBE SE has latest update in 2018 while CBBE FO4 had not been updated since 2016.

CBBE SE has over 20k vertices, while CBBE FO4 has only 6k, this already means more than 3 times detailed, even not considering the better tweaked sliders of CBBE SE.

The exact quote on this from the Reddit forum was: "The body mesh is completely custom and has 13554 vertices, which is more than 20 times the resolution of the vanilla Skyrim body and 6 times that of the older CBBE." What that was talking about was a comparison between the SSE version and that of the Oldrim version.

CBBE FO4 has been updated in july. The original upload was in 2016. Apart from the fact that there's an abundance of texture mods and bodyslide presets using CBBE.

i had the same problem. its not only about polygon and meshes but also textures. i converted the 8k rxkx diffuse resource and added customized normal map and gloss und put it in my cbbe texture mod. the resource seems to be more detailed than all the fo4 body textures i found. you may try my cute fingers cbbe mod. another problem is that fo4 seems not to support msn normal map for body textures.

Most things in Skyrim were a little nicer than there Fallout 4 counterparts. More time to refine and for some a more powerful script extender I suppose. The modders did amazing things with what they had to work with IMO
