Anoxeron
I had to reinstall Oblivion and now DarkUI (OMOD)is gving me a "C # failed to compile". I tried the manual version but when I change the font in the Oblivion.ini the game won't load. I was originally using the omod version and it worked fine so as you can imagine this is driving me Crazy :wallbash: . I can't Play without it so Any help or suggestions will be GREATLY APPRECIATED !!!
Hickory
What version of OBMM are you using, and where did you download it from? It sounds like it is having problems understanding the install script, which can happen if a script uses functions that are not implemented in your (older?) version. Be sure you have the latest version of OBMM. You can check the script by right clicking on the mod in OBMM and select 'View Script' / 'Check Syntax'. It should let you know the results in the compiler window.

I'm using obmm_1_1_12_full_installer-2097 and the really weird thing about it is that it has installed everything but DarkUI. I tried re downloading the DarkUI files (omod and manual) in case they were corrupt to no avail. I managed to successfully install manually but the font size prevented me changing any of the options. To be Honest - I'm stumped !!! Thank You for the input though, I really appreciate it !!! Edited September 22, 2012 by Anoxeron
Anoxeron
On that note, is there Anyone who Knows how to edit the fonts and font size? If I could edit the fonts I'm sure I could come up with an acceptable work around. I know it shouldn't be necessary but I'll utilize any options to solve this issue. It may be silly but I just Gotta Have My Darn UI !!! Much Thanks for Any Input !!! Edited September 22, 2012 by Anoxeron
Hickory
Did you check the script syntax, like I suggested? Also, have you considered trying OBMM Extended?
Anoxeron
Did you check the script syntax, like I suggested? Also, have you considered trying OBMM Extended?Sorry I couldn't reply sooner. I did try view script and check syntax and all it did was list the script and view syntax didn't list any errors if that was what it was supposed to have done. You'll have to forgive me because I know little or nothing about scripting . Would it have reported errors or told me if something was incorrect? I'll check out Your link to OBMM Extended but I had a tooth pulled today so I'm Probably going to try and sleep for a couple of days. I Truly Appreciate Your Time and Input !!! Again - Much Thanks !!!

It would have (should have) listed any errors, yes. Get over your tooth extraction, and then try OBMM Extended, see where that leads.

What I didn't mention (and probably should Have) is that I reinstalled on an OLDER Athlon PC that I put together using junk parts I had laying around. I was using over 100 different mods and because of adult content couldn't allow my daughter or nephew play it. Nothing serial - just body mods and mods like the 'Romancing of Eyja', 'Unnecessary Violence' etc. I corrupted my game and have roughly six or seven Gigs of save games so I was going to have to reinstall anyway. Long story short - I installed the extended version and it wouldn't run because it required .NET framework 4.0. I'm using a legit copy of Windows so was able to download it (4.0)and install as a stand alone. I again attempted to install Darnified DarkUI and again ran view script/check syntax. The issue isn't with the script itself but something to do with .NET framework. It reports - This method implicitly uses CAS policy which has been obsoleted by .NET framework. In order to use CAS policy for compatibility reasons please use the NETFx_40 LegacySecurityPolicy configuration switch. It then gives a link how to do so. Thanks to You I've learned quite a bit and Maybe this will help others experiencing the same issue. Again I want to say "Thank You as You've been VERY Helpful !!!" The old Athlon runs the game flawlessly at maxed graphics so all in all this has been a Win Win situation !!! Many Thanks !!! :D OBMM Extended is a Definite improvement over the original !!! Elizinator
sorry to resurrect this old topic, but im having this exact problem, and i dont understand this solution at all. this "link" i have never seen. i attempt to view scripts and check syntax, and it lists one very specific error, but makes no mention anywhere of .NET framework, and gives no link. so id love a more explicit explanation of this "solution" from anyone who understands it.
