As part of my university coursework (studying games software development :happy: ) I'm currently doing research into German boardgames.

 

 

So... I was wondering if we had any German members who play boardgames (or know someone who does) and wouldn't mind answering a few questions. I've posted the questions (in German) below - please send me your answers via pm (or if you prefer to get a discussion on board games going, post in this thread)

I don't know any German players, but I do know that Settlers of Catan was a boardgame originally published in Germany that has achieved worldwide acclaim (and it's a lot more fun to play than Monopoly, that's for sure). Anyone besides me ever seen or played it?

I haven't played Settlers of Catan (yet), but heard a lot about it. Part of my research is looking at German boardgames and trying to establish the features that make them popular, the other part is getting information from players (which is the tricky bit! :/ )
