Jason2135
Hey there everyone. I have Skyrim installed, and have been playing it for a few days, I had Dawnguard and a bunch of mods placed in as well. All was work well until yesterday.I launched the game and it went passed the Bethesda load page and onto the main screen. The skyrim symbol shows but the text for load, play, option ect didn't show up. I looked in the Data files and the Main Skyrim.esm has gone missing. Can anyone help me at all?? And I have tried re-installing it.
Rabbit1251
Go in to Steam and Verify your Game Cache. That should replace it. Rabbit

Jason2135
Well that didn't work. Anyone have any other ideas Please!!
Georgiegril
Honestly, Rabbit's suggestion should definitely work. The only reasons I can think that it wouldn't is if you accidentally verified the wrong game's cache. Maybe try again? Other than that you could try reinstalling. (or reloading a backup if you have one).
