Skotte
I was just coming here to post the link to where you can download MechWarrior 4 and got beat to the punch. I cannot download the file yet and still looking to see if anyone has uploaded it somewhere else (1.7 GB) EDIT: I finally got it to download. Their MTX (a.k.a. bittorrent client) program is a complete DOG! It acts like it has mental retardation issues...takes a long time to load up, has resource issues, kinda works / kinda doesn't. It may be having server issues but it shouldn't make the client act like it is spinning its wheels so badly that it fails to respond to the OS for minutes at a time. I'm keeping the .mtx file safe so if I have to reload it, the utility can simply load the file rather than downloading it again. After I got it installed, I found that it will not work on my system because of a CD-Check that says "insert disc 2"...the only thing you need to do is edit the 3 or 4 registry entries to point the "CDPath" variable to your DVD-Rom drive....only thing is that I don't have a working DVD drive at the moment. DoH! I'll have to see if Daemon tools can save the day here. Did Mechwarrior 4 get updated to version 19 (.00019) or greater? prior to version 19 it still disc checked though they do seem to understand that MTX doesn't work for everybody from http://mtxgear.mektek.net/MW4/*UPDATE* We are very aware that some of you are having problems using MTX to download and install the free release of Mechwarrior4: Mercenaries. We are currently preparing a self extracting executable to install the game without using MTX. This new release will require a new download, but should alleviate any of the issues of installing via MTX. This new release will contain some bug fixes for Mercs, and we will prepare a patch for those of you who have been successfully installing and updating via MTX as well as executable patches to bring any version previously downloaded, up to date. Once this new version clears our beta team, it will be made available for download in your BitTorrent client of choice. Please be patient as this may take a few days. We will continue to work on ironing out the bugs in MTX, until then, we will provide an alternate way to acquire the game and updates through the self installing executables. We apologize for any inconvenience. Good hunting. The MekTek Team.

LHammonds
could i download any of these on to like a thumbdrive and use it anywere? (i think i can but im not sure.)These are games just like any others. Most have to be installed...so you "could" carry them around on a USB drive but would need to install them. You might be interested in "Portable Apps" such as these. The red alert link took me to the red alert section and said Red alert 3 was now downloadable. i cant figure out how down load it or the other C&C that LHammonds posted. any help? After a quick google search, I added a working Mirror link. Apparently, the made all downloads related to #3 to save on bandwidth I guess. LHammonds
