Schattenu
Just out of curiosity, thought I might let Serana tag along while I do the Civil War quests, her necromancer spells could be useful. In theory I can't think why followers would have problems with the quests, since the majority of them just involve killing X amount of people, but I've been surprised before so I thought I'd better ask first. Thanks!

Thanks! I've fought a number of the battles with followers from the vanilla game, and had no problems. So you should be right.
Schattenu
Sweet, guess was a little worried about how they'd handle certain things like the battles of Whiterun and Solitude/Windhelm. Thanks! :D
OakRain
I did have an issue with the Battle for Whiterun for the Stormcloaks when I took Lydia along - she and Ralof got into a fight in Dragonsreach and all hell broke loose, both are essential in my game so there was no clear victor. As a result I couldn't complete the quest properly.I had a previous save to load so left her at Breezehome before accepting the quest for the battle, grabbed another follower and all went well.
