EvilFriedBacon
Can't get ENBs to work on Classic Skyrim. On a new game, it crashes to desktop as soon as I enter Helgen Keep. Doesn't matter who I pick. When I load a save the game crashes immediately unless I am inside of a building, like an Inn for example, but it will crash as soon as I exit the Inn. What causes the game to CTD is d3d9.dll. A long as that .dll in my Skyrim folder it will crash the game. I have tried this for two different ENB presets, RealVision with ENBSeries v0.315 and True Vision with ENBSeries v0.292. I have tried with mods, no mods, fresh install, but nothing works. Setting bFloatPointRenderTarget to 1 does nothing, and setting it to 0 does nothing as well. I have updated Directx10 with this link. I have ran the DXSETUP.exe that is located in the DirectX10 folder(C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\DirectX10). I have changed bDrawLandShadows and bTreesReceiveShadows from 0 to 1. iBlurDeferredShadowMask was changed from 3 to 5. I then changed all of that back. I have changed VideoMemorySizeMb to match my Vram with the VRamSizeTest tool. ExpandSystemMemoryX64 is set to false. I have all the DLC for Classic Skyrim and I also have Skyrim SE. And on Skyrim SE there were no issues installing the ENB preset. I used the SkyrimSE Re-Engaged ENB preset as a test to see if I would have the same issues on Classic Skyrim but it worked first try. About a year or two ago I had modded Skyrim and did not have this issue with ENB. I had even use RealVision that time as well with no issue. That made me try using an older version of RealVision and its matching ENB series, but that didn't solve anything, d3d9.dll still crashes my game, no matter the version it seems. Yes, I have SKSE. Doesn't matter if I launch from that, launch with SKSE from MO, or just launch from the normal tesv.exe. Always crashes. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this? Zombie1Boy
d3d9dll is what is used by ENB to do what is does. I doubt its that that is actually causing your crashes. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725 Install that mod and follow the instructions so it will write to file what is causing your crashes, then post it here. It also has a memory manager that should eliminate the crashes cause when going from one world to another (ie: loading). Cause it sounds like an issue with your memory that this mod *should* fix. xrayy
skyrim le has 32bit 4GB memory limit. if your game crashes changing from interior to exterior your enboost may not work as it should. i assume 4GB patch is already installed. you may check memory load while running taskmanager simultenously. if no enbhost.exe process is running your enboost setup does not work correctly and your game crashes reaching the 32bit memory limit at about 3.2 GB or at 1.9 GB without 4GB awareness.
