Hobnob165
I've been playing Fallout 3 for a little while now and so far I've had pretty much no problems. I've got a bunch of mods installed but they've been no problem apart from crashing very occasionally when in a non-vanilla room. Only now all of a sudden whenever I try to leave the sewer that I've been in it crashes to desktop after the loading wheel has gotten about halfway. I've tried teleporting somewhere else via console commands which seems to work but as soon as I try to leave that room the game crashes. I've even tried dropping all my stuff and then leaving but that doesn't work. I seem to have no problem leaving rooms in my earlier saves either, one of which is even leaving the sewer that I'm stuck in.Can anybody suggest anything as I don't particularly want to have to go back to an earlier save and loose about an hour's work exploring the sewer. That file can be Diagnosed by those that have the skills to determine why your CTDing.you should then be able to return to it, enter and leave with out crashing. Kitty. When I "coc Megaton" should I be teleported to a completely black space? I can move but there's nothing there.
BlackRampage
Not coc Megaton. coc Megatontown. Anyway, try to disable any all of Fo3's default autosaving features like "save on travel" and the like. Also, what kind of processor do you have in your computer? If you have a quadcore processor, you may need to apply the mulicore fix: If you have a multi-core CPU, like the Quad, and you experience a Fallout 3 crash when loading interiors (Specially in closed spaces): - Open the folder My documents / My Games / Fallout3 - Edit the file FALLOUT.ini. - Inside FALLOUT.ini look for a group called [general]. - Inside the general group, after all the configuration parameters, just copy and paste the following 2 lines: bUseThreadedAI=1iNumHWThreads=2 Now close and save the Fallout 3 configuration file. I tried the editing Fallout.ini but it hasn't made any difference. I'm not sure that it's the game itself as I've had no problems in the past and my other save files load fine, I wonder if my save file has become corrupted or something, but I really have no idea. Also coc MegatonTown has the exact same problem as trying to leave directly, ie CTD. It only seems to affect me if I try to go somewhere outside. M48A5
Are you sure you changed the proper Fallout.ini? The one in the Documents/MyGames/Fallout3, not the one with the game launcher. And, since you have not resolved this problem for the past two days, you might as well use an earlier save.

Fair point, I guess I won't lose that much progress, especially compared to how much I'd lose if I kept waiting for a fix.
