Tutor?

I'm looking to start modding and eventually make my own overhaul of Skyrim, but first, I need someone to assist me in grasping the basics and developing a good, quality mod that blends with the vanilla gameplay so it seems as if it were originally part of the game. With this, I will also share ideas I have of many mods that will add exciting new features to the game. Anyone interested in helping please send me a PM asap.

Thanks,

-Hazey

Most people that begin modding start a new thread asking for help...there are hundreds of tutorials out there. Here on this board in the sticky thread, there is another thread 'bout written tutorials, countless tutorials on youtube that cover everything for a beginner to be busy for months so you might check this out first and ask specific questions afterwards :) Edited by ghosu

Thanks but that is the exact reason I started this post is because I'm more or less looking for a sidekick. A person who knows how to mod and has a general idea of how to get started, and someone who can assist me in my learnings at the same time. I've got many long-term mods that will require time + teamwork to get accomplished before Skyrim is completely outdated (planned storylines/questlines, factions, cities, races, etc.) I need someone with enough dedication to Skyrim to take time out of their day to assist me as well as work on the mods.

Depending on what it is you'd like to learn in terms of modding, post and I'm sure someone will respond with pointers. And if it's something I'm working on with a current mod, I'll try to help and toss you some "homework". :)

BTW, @Unholypaladin, a mod study group is an awesome idea. I wish it was around when I started modding (which really wasn't too long ago :P).

Log onto Steam itself, set it to be in "Offline Mode" and then exit Steam. When you next load the CK, you'll get a prompt about connecting to Steam or staying offline, select the offline option. The same goes with Skyrim.

Regarding learning, what is it that you're looking to learn first? Feel free to PM me with a prioritized list of what you'd like to accomplish with a tutor. :)
