Zahnrad
Passives are normally the first thing I try to get in a Skyrim playthrough, I'm not looking at anything overpowered (though I wouldn't object to testing them out), be it quest mod reward or as part of a collectable set reward I like gaining little bonuses to my character in the form of Skyrim's passives. If there are any mod recommendations where the end reward, or as part of the mod you can obtain passives, I'd love to check them out.Perferrably more creative (in terms of the passive itself, or the method to obtaining it) but I'll probably check any recommendation. sentinel1313
Well, there are the more obvious and popular mods like Andromeda, Thunderchild, Imperious and Ordinator---all made by Enai Siaion, I believe (you probably know about those, though?). Not sure if these will interest you, but here's some other stuff:Artifacts - The Breton Paladin https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16199Artifacts - The Tournament of the Ten Bloods https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/15264Quest mods where you acquire new weapons and armor that contain powerful enchantments. They are stronger that almost anything you'll find in the vanilla game, but aren't ridiculously over-powered. The first mod of the pair is particularly underrated, I think; the breton paladin armor set is impressive both in terms of aesthetics and functionality. Both mods were created by FrankFamily.ESO Skyshards https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6331Places multiple 'shards' (in appearance, they are like enlarged grand soul gems) across Skyrim for you to find and activate. They emit a sound similar to nirnroots on approach, and generate a pillar of light visible from a certain distance. You get an extra perk point to spend with every three shards you collect. Works well with Ordinator.Passive Spell Tomes https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12803Places spell tomes across Skyrim for you to loot/buy. Instead of granting access to a new spell, these books impart permanent buffs upon reading them. Edited September 15, 2019 by sentinel1313
Zahnrad
Artifacts - The Breton Paladin https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16199Artifacts - The Tournament of the Ten Bloods https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/15264 I'll check out the Artifacts as I've not tried those ones yet. Note: If you haven't checked the comments on Passive Spell Tomes, be aware the Maddworld tome is known to cause issues if you leatn it.
Zahnrad
Actually, Ordinator brings up a good point. I've liked being able to extend the duration of Alteration and Conjuration through leveling up its respective skill. Is there anything out there (or is it even possible) to do the same with the other 3 schools? I forget if it effects Illusion, but with modded spells there's a good couple of Restoration and Destruction spells that have durations hope there's a way or mod that extends those also, or make the Home Mythral perk do the same for other magic trees. I don't recall any mods that do the same for the Destruction and Restoration schools. Most people who want spells from those branches of magic re-balanced complain about how they can't deal out damage or heal themselves fast enough, despite their character's level and acquired perks. For Alteration, Illusion, and Conjuration spells... Naturally, we don't want to have to cast Candlelight or Summon Flame Atronach every 60 seconds. Ordinator addresses such annoyances. I think it would be a bit OP to both increase the power and duration of certain Destruction and Restoration spells, modded or otherwise. Most fights in Skyrim, win or lose, are too short to benefit from such improvements anyway. Though that's just my opinion, of course.
Zahnrad
As it turns out someone was making some changes to the first perk of each tree in Ordinator giving you 5 levels in each, and I managed to get a request in if they could add duration to Destruction and Restoration, in which in less than 24 hours they got around to adding. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29021 Link here if you want to see it or try it out. sentinel1313
Oh, that's pretty awesome, actually. Thanks for the link.I still don't know how I feel about the duration increases for the spells of those two schools, but I can't deny that the mod improves the experience of leveling up as a mage. With Ordinator by itself, you can get stronger quickly by spending those two perk points to halve your magicka usage, but growth after that is noticeably slow. Spacing things out makes those perks feel more earned and less given.
