AusAllerWelt
These should be the right settings. Combine Materials to Increase Performance doesn't always need to be on. That setting will merge parts of the mesh that have the same material into one object. Edited September 15, 2019 by AusAllerWelt

madmongo
If you start with the default settings (click Restore Default Settings for Selected Game on the lower left), click on Creature under collision options (top middle right), then click on either Cloth or Skin just below that. Then make sure that use BSFadeNodeRoot is unselected. You can select Shadow Map under shader options if you'd like, but you need to go into NifSkope afterwards anyways so you can set the Shadow Map shader option there. Either way works. After you export your armor, go into NifSkope to fix the shader settings. For any armor parts (i.e. not human skin), the shader type type needs to be set to SHADER_DEFAULT and make sure SF_SHADOW_MAP and SF_REMAPABLE_TEXTURES are both checked. For the any visible human skin body parts (arms, legs, etc) the shader type needs to be set to SHADER_SKIN and make sure SF_SHADOW_MAP and SF_FACEGEN are both checked. Blender will usually set the rest of the flags correctly.
dubiousintent
Thanks guys. I know this has come up before, but never as succinctly and clearly explained (IMHO). Added 'TIP Blender Export Settings' to "Blender" section of the wiki "Getting started creating mods using GECK" article. Let me know if you think it needs expanding upon. -Dubious-
