Is there a mod that allows you to customize a settler in-game?

I want a mod that allows you to customize a settler in-game. I would like to be able to change their apparel also. Every time i go to their inventory it doesn't show their clothing at all which is very frustrating.

 

Please let me know of any mods that would help! :laugh: I play on PC by the way.

It doesnt show the clothing until you equip a new one replacing.

You can try AmazingFollowerTweaks, it has a feature like that, but I have no idea how stable it is.

Are you sure the appearance tool of AFT is for settlers, too? I thought it is for followers.

 

I don't know a mod for changing settlers look, I would be interested in it. You could open console, click on the settler to see his refID, and use the showlooksmenu command to change his look. I did this some times, with mixed results. Partly it worked for long, partly not.

 

To change weapons and clothes/armor for settlers is easy, as said. Talk to them, put the item into the settler inventory and press "T" to make him/her use it. If you give a gun to a settler, you need to put ammo for it in the settler's inventory (1 round is enough, except for missile launcher or fatman; advice: don't give missile launcher or fatman to a settler!!).

Well, AFT is supposed to be able to make anyone a follower, so you may have to make them a follower first and then dismiss them after editing. I, admittedly, haven't used it, just had it tracked for ages.

It's like most compainons, too. You can change their clothings, but you can't strip them naked (without mods). You can give them other clothings and press T to let them wear those. This will also unequip their current outfit and put it into their inventory. You can then take it away from them.

 

And if you want to change their Face, use Looksmenu. You need the console for that. Open the console, click on the settler you want to adjust and look at the ID on the top of the console window. You should make sure that you've alread oriented the camera so you can edit their face properly. You can't change the camera easily in Looksmenu for others than yourself. Then type in "slm [iD_OF_THE_SETTLER]". This will open the looksmenu (the one you use for surgery and haircuts) and you can edit them. If they run away while you edit them, toggle their AI off (the command is tai while the settler is selected). Toggle their AI back on when you're done with their face (tai again).
