Infinite Loading Screens-Vortex

I have no idea why my game won't load. SSE shows no errors. I get to the loading screen with the Skyrim emblem, no music plays and I get the pinwheel. Also if someone can tell me how to upload my load order from Vortex that would be great. Vortex is installed on my C: drive and Skyrim on my D: drive. I don't know if that makes a difference. I am running Win10 1903. The latest version of Vortex. I am running 173 mods.

For starters, make sure that your Mod Staging Folder is on the same drive as your game but in a folder completely separate from the game.

My staging folder is on the same drive and not in the game folder.

Problem is - your problem is not a Vortex problem.

On SSE, most common cause of infinite loading screens is adding an unconverted LE mod.

 

If that is not it, go into triage.

Open Vortex and click Purge Mods. Will game load? If not, use Steam Verify. Will it load now? If not, start a new game. Will it load now? If it does, you have a broken save.

If you reach this point, the game loads with mods purged. Now you have to find the bad mod.

Deploy mods. Check to make sure game still fails to load.

Disable half your mods. Does game load? If so enable half the disabled ones.

Keep doing this until you find the bad mod
