Monolithic0117
Banning floggingmolly for making an unclear statement (that could be misconstrued).
floggingmolly22
Banning Monolithic because it was perfectly clear. And if you were literal, it couldn't be misconstrued. But now I'm curious... In what way (do you think) my post could be misconstrued?
Monolithic0117
Banning floggingmolly for believing that his post was perfectly clear. Since you are banning Yours Truly while typing "yet to ban", that statement could be considered wrong, as while Yours Truly is reading said post, you have already banned Yours Truly. It could be misconstrued (rather obscurely, I admit) because Yours Truly could assume you are going on a leave for several days, thus not being able to ban Yours Truly during that leave due to inavailable internet access. But hey, the "have yet" kind of ruins the possibility of misconstruation. Though it would be clearer if you had said "had yet".
floggingmolly22
Banning Monolithic for a thorough explanation that, does, yes, answer my question, though appears (to me) to be slightly incorrect. It would seem to me, that had I said "had yet" I would have been placing a present-tense statement in the past tense. Though that could easily have been fixed, the prospect of changing tenses (in the middle of a statement) seems.... unorthodox and improper.
