volsfan8076
I just received an email from Amazon saying that my XCOM preorder is ready for download 3 hours early. After getting over my shock and jubilation, I follow the links to my Amazon preorder for it to tell me that it is not ready yet. Needless to say, little bit disappointed right now. Pointless topic? Yes. Do I feel like screaming about something small? Absolutely.
Dark0ne
We in the UK have to wait for another 3 days, so don't feel too bad! :(
Erenar
Indeed, been waiting for this game for, what is it, 18 years? 3 more days seems like the whole 18 years all over again :D Not sure about why they release it later though, if GW2 can do a pre-order 3 day early access and sell on tuesday, the whole argument for it being a retail stock selling day thing kinda goes out of the window. Damn Americans!
volsfan8076
I have been playing it almost non-stop for the past day. It will definately be worth the extra three days. I have already missed two 99% shots, but instead of being angry and frustrated I am having a blast. Edited October 10, 2012 by volsfan8076
BluePaint
Use alternative online sellers for Steam keys like getgamesgo.com and you can get XCOM for 24£ including Civ V. They also already started to sent out the keys 2 days ago. In Europe, use some VPN to unlock the game and put Steam into offline mode. Enjoy the game!
