SpockBot
So I was wondering if there is already... Or if it would be possible to make some mod - to give crossbows (Manual Aiming). - Similar to what we have with regular bows.
Kaffeebohnson
I also don't understand why you can't aim them. It's not possible right now, but I am against gameplay altering mods in Dark Souls, anyway.I like that as of right now the mods can only be purely cosmetic. Rennn
It's probably a balance thing. Crossbows are generally the "fast one-handed" bows. They're more meant for knights (etc) who need a quick ranged attack rather than for sniping. On topic, I don't think that's possible. Not right now, at least.Personally, and I don't mean to criticize your idea, I agree with Kaffeebohnson. There are a myriad of reasons why, but the biggest one is that I prefer it when people can't easily make invulnerability hacks and things like that. SpockBot
I also don't want to break the game in anyway. - But for me its less of a concern as I'm not really into PvP.- So after buying the game twice and passing it about five times or so.I was just interested in making the single player experience a bit different or better. - On topic: Instead of some 1st person view - would it work to just have some crosshairs on screen when you're blind firing (i.e. without using the lock on target ability). The main reason I want this to work is - The Sniper Crossbow - it has the greatest range of any bow in the game.Plus I just think it looks cool and I'd like to use it more often. But all that extra range is wasted seeing as you can't even aim the damn thing.- Just doesn't make sense, why make a "Sniper" Crossbow if you can't even - you know "Sniper" with it.
