Same as the weapons thread really,

I have by no means explored the whole map, not even half of it. But i do like Rivet City, I dont know why, it kinda reminds me of Mass Effect and Oblivion in one, especially down in the Market. It feels homely.

Anyway, anyone found a particular place they like? and for what reason?

I kinda like Girdershade too, altho it is only 2 shacks.... it still kinda nice, especially at sunset.

Favorite place: The hotel where u rescue riley's rangers(think its called the statesman's hotel), so much fun going room to room and killing centaurs and super mutants while dodging all the grenade traps. The bar on the top floor is one of the best fights ive had in the game.

Most Disappointing Place: Nukacola bottling plant. I live close to a coca-cola bottling place and it has some of the coolest machines and conveyors inside. But the nukacola place in game had little of this. At the very least i was maybe expecting something a little different looking than every other factory in fallout 3. i would have even settled or a giant pile of empty bottles to throw grenades into...but sadly nothing.

There are some really awesome satellite dishes in the northwest; my favorite one is three in one, and I believe it's the highest point in the game after the Washington Monument. Best part: there are raiders wandering around on top of the dishes, so you can shoot them off into thin air.

I also got a kick out of the Dunwich Building, at the extreme southwest, but don't go there if you don't like scary levels. It's pretty spooky in there.

Edit: Oh man, I forgot my very favorite one. If you sneak up on Evergreen Mills from the West (in the hills), you can snipe the power generator keeping a certain gate right next to it electrified... and trigger a pretty much awesomely epic battle scene you can comfortably watch from your vantage point up on the hill.
