GhostHarvester
Hello my friends.I am havng problems with textures. Most notably Radroaches, and weapons mods such as "The Proud American" (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/13850)The Proud American is pitch white, no texture change at all. The roaches body changes texture to its surroundings. I have multiple mods installed and will list them in their load order. Load order and mods:Fallout 3AnchorageBrokenSteelThePittPointLookoutMothershipZetaxCALIBR.esm (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/11684)MotherShip Crew.esm (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/8747)Alton, IL.esm (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/16949)CALIBR.esm (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/3447)Advanced Recon Tech.esm (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/2654)Advanced Recon Armor.esp (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/2654)Advanced Recon Armor-PredatorMode.esp (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/2654)Advanced Recon Gear.esp (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/15653)ZL-ACR.esp (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/11611)WeaponModKits.esp (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/3388)WMKAA12Shotgun.esp (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/3388)DragonSkin Tactical Outfit.esp (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/10183)BerettaTwoTone AH.esp (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/13884)TheProudAmerican.esp (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/13850)Devils Mistress Unique.esp (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/13702) So what is the big idea? I had the same texture issues with weapons from Classic Fallout Weapons Revived. Archive invalidation is disabled, I have the latest FOSE, the latest update for FO3 GOTY, and I am using Nexus Mod Manager. Also my game freezes during combat, that might be due to the number of mods I had on previously... those are all disabled and deactivated. Thanks. M48A5
Did you attempt to install your mods using NMM against the advice of the mod authors? Did you toggle ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! ? According the the WMK mod author, you should have made a merged patch. Have you done this?
GhostHarvester
Not even sure what you mean by the first one... I just installed em. Its not that trivial. Second, Archive Invalidation is unchecked, meaning it is off. Third.. I dont need the merged patch for what I have activated.
M48A5
You will need ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! active to correct your problem. You need to read the mod description page and the ReadMe that comes with the mod and follow the instructions to the letter or you will continue to have problems. If the mod author says to use Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) to install the mod, that is what the author means, to use FOMM not Nexus Mod Manager. There is a difference and most of the mods for Fallout 3 will not install properly with NMM. Also, if you intend to continue with adding mods to your game, you will need to know how to add mods manually. There are some that you cannot use either FOMM or NMM to install them. BlackRampage
Third.. I dont need the merged patch for what I have activated. No? Then I'm guessing you have enough skill with Fo3Edit to correct any and all conflicts and whatnot yourself?
GhostHarvester
Oh, NMM confused me with the whole ArchiveInvalidation... I do prefer NMM over FOMM though, but I suppose I can switch. Installing mods manually seems pretty easy, i've done one before. Not exactly sure how to make a merged patch but im sure I can learn. I apologize guys, I dont have much experience with modding. That is why I wish to learn more. Thank you for the answers though. EDIT: I just uninstalled FO3. I'll just re do everything, this time with FOMM. I'll be sure to be careful and such. I am using GOTY btw... and I heard people have problems with it. EDIT #2: I'd hate to trouble you... but for additional files such as Mothership Zeta Crew Mod.. If I download the main file, and then the air support file, and I activate them and the air support file asks to over write something... do I say no? Or what...? Also, I did figure out to how make a merged patch. I'll re download FO3 later today, download all my mods, make a merged patch, and see how everything goes.
