Pixuma
Sup guys, i'm new to this modding thing and i've got a problem.Been fiddling around trying to get it to work for hours now, and can't get it to work at all.Currently trying to use 1.4 for simplicity until i get it all figured out.Downloaded 1.4 via NMM and it installed no problem. However, once i started the game, everything looked the same, so i disabled all other mods and tried again with same result.Tried to install it manually by merging the texture folder of the mod into the game's texture folder. Started it up and to my disappointment, no change what so ever. I am using the DLC textures, and i did try it without them active, to no avail. What am i doing wrong? Georgiegril
You downloaded Skyrim 1.4 using NMM? That would be your problem right there.
LadyMilla
I think Pixuma means Skyrim HD - 2K Textures version 1.4.
Georgiegril
Oh, I apologize; I misunderstood. Try installing it manually by placing the unzipped folder into your C;Games/nexusModManager/Skyrim/Mods folder. The exit/reopen the NMM Interface. It should show up on the mods page, unactivated. Click to activate. If asked about overwriting, say yes (assuming you want to overwrite everything)Go to plug-ins, make sure it is properly placed after the hi-res DLC if you are using that. The only real concern I have would be this:Tried to install it manually by merging the texture folder of the mod into the game's texture folder...if it still doesn't work, you may need to remove the mod and run the verify game files through steam thing and then try again. There's also a video to help with installation on the mod page.
Pixuma
hmm... Just tried installing 1.5 with NMM using the instructions they provided, no dice. Tried editing the Skyrim.ini file with the instructions found here but when i went to go and do the same to the skyrim.ini in documents/my games/skyrim, i was met with a file that looks like this: [Display]sD3DDevice="ASUS HD7850 Series"[Grass]b30GrassVS=0[Water]bReflectLODObjects=1bReflectLODLand=1bReflectSky=1bReflectLODTrees=1[General]sLanguage=ENGLISH I did verify the file cache or whatever it is through steam and it said all was well. Could the issue be that my steam/skyrim install is on an HDD and my documents folder is on an SSD?
