Panthy
Tried to use the Modpatcher, but I get "Error @ Patching" when doing so.The files are in the standard Steam directory, but I switched the .mod you provided with the standard .ini (renamed to .mod, of course), which I edited slightly to my needs. So maybe there's a problem with that? Thanks in advance :)
Daemonjax
Try running it when the game isn't running, or ya messed the file up slightly when you made your changes. ;) Edited October 18, 2012 by Daemonjax
dreadylein
Mh no Sanity checks on the Modfiles ;P so patcher shouldnt say a word even if the file is totaly odd :P Would bet on Game running also :D
Panthy
Aw man...the game wasn't running, even closed Steam and then I saw that I had a space before .mod  Problem now solved. Thank you anyway :D
KMA
No dont plan to add them atmThey arent put into the binarie datastream so it isnt the job of this applicationmaybe later First off, thanks for the tool. Second, thanks for the help. I went for a romp through the exe and found out they only baked DefaultGameCore.ini into it. I had assumed that if they were going to bake one ini in, they would have done all of them (for consistency if nothing else). Now I need to get back into the exe and see if I can force it to use loose files...

Adonnay
Did Firaxis update the .exe or the game itself? Modpatcher doesn't seem to work for me anymore. Everytime I patch the exe steam overwrites it again with a different version (slightly larger) even though I disabled the automatic update for XCOM. lurkeruk
So I've edited the main .exe with the changes I'd like and now I've run the program - what file would I add to Nexus so that others can use it?
