The default says 30%, maybe need some skill level but I'm not sure. Anyway that chance is configurable, but 30% may be enough to give "some meaning" to the effect instead vulgarizing it. From what I read at the documentation long time ago, that beheading, for instance, claims for an attack aimed above the neck to even happening (or something like this). Not a combo, just 'luck'. Another thing I can't answer is if this works on any creature, even mod introduced ones, maybe yes.
Shadowcran
The proper way to get Deadly Reflex to work is to wait until the blue moon. Then when that moon reaches the exact juxtaposition with Jupiter while you're in midswing, the aeons have to correspond carefully. Once these aeons line up correctly, the constellations will eventually line up in a triangle formation, thus causing the next comet to come through to shift the earth's axis enough so that when you connect with the creature you're fighting, something has a 10% chance to occur. However, if you're breathing while this occurs, it cancels out the entire process. The trick here is to shelve this buggy mod and instead download locational damage and thus save yourself of weeks of frustration and aggravation. BTW, there is a chance window that pops up after you assign your keys. 100% isn't exactly 100. It also depends on your timing, precision and proper use of the keys. Heads coming off: 50 skill in blade, do a sideways power attack when your enemy's health is low and hope for the best depending on chance. Aim for the enemy's head/throat. Another way I found: Get 25 blade skill and use standing power attack (same low health rules). If successful, you will impale your enemy as he/she gasps for air. Then it goes to 3rd person mode and you automatically do a spin cut. Cutting in half: Same as in heads but aim for body. Skullcrush: Either 25 skill in H2H and do a standing powerattack (same rules from cutting in half apply to this) or 50 skill in blunt and sideways power attack. Your bash key is your friend if you know how to use it. If you read the readme carefully, that is. I already did a leaping sneak attack, throat slit, shield bash, kick and a sleeping stab. Amazing. This is a note: I noticed that Deadly Reflex has a "ooooh i get to chop heads and do this and that instantly yay wow!" impression sometimes, but it is quite the sophisticated combat mod which involves timing, precision and skill that makes it thrilling and realistic. Plus the new Deadly Reflex 5 is much, much more stable compared to 4.03. And it complements Adrenaline Fueled Combat V2 very nicely. The proper way to get Deadly Reflex to work is to wait until the blue moon. Khet
*lols and then slaps head* The trick? Stop seeding negativity on DR. Please? Eh, no offense pal... but I've used the "New and Improved" version myself and it still crashes me every ten minutes. How do I know it's DR? Cause the moment I disable that mod everything's peachy. I've even tried looking for compatibility issues with other mods and nope, nothing is ever mentioned. Negativity is seeded on DR because it truly is a buggy mod. Do I say that because I hate it? No. Clean out the bugs, perfect the stability so it doesn't crash every ten minutes and it's one hell of a good mod.
KingofCarnage18
It sounds like you aren't using OBSE..deadly reflexes REQUIRES OBSE...remember use the OBSE.exe to launch oblivion, not the oblivion launcher Oh and ignore Shadowcran, he has a vendetta against DR... How do I know it's DR? Cause the moment I disable that mod everything's peachy. I've even tried looking for compatibility issues with other mods and nope, nothing is ever mentioned. None taken. I'm cool. Negativity is seeded on DR because it truly is a buggy mod. Do I say that because I hate it? No. Clean out the bugs, perfect the stability so it doesn't crash every ten minutes and it's one hell of a good mod. I liked this statement. A lot. Though you may criticize DR, you don't just look at the negatives but also the positives. Which I think is better than saying it's downright horrible. KingOfCarnage, I think if you have DR and don't have OBSE, your game will CTD once you start it. Maybe the version of OBSE is out of date...
