StormWolf01
Hi all! TIA for taking a look at the post. TL;DR - Can I keep my crosshairs instead of them turning into a box? Can I get crosshairs that have a permanent dot in the center? My playstyle is primarily as a 3rd person sharpshooter. I've got a mod idea, that has sorta been covered, but not.I don't even know if it can be done, because of the hipfire accuracy in this game.I've seen a lot of mods that remove the crosshairs, and just leave a dot. Even when you're zoomed in on something, or hovering over a container. But nothing that leaves the crosshairs when you're zoomed in, or hovering over a container, or anything that turns the crosshairs into a box.I love trying to sharpshoot mobs without trying to zoom in on them, or reduce the cone. However, sometimes I just gotta. It's extremely difficult to place a precision shot, when the crosshairs turn into a square, because some skill wants to give you the option to pacify or hack the mob. Is it possible to get rid of the skills altering the crosshairs? Or is it possible to still have your targeting dot centered inside the square, at the very least? And is it possible to add a dot to the inside of the crosshairs, that doesn't get affected by hipfire accuracy expanding out the crosshairs? (IE- Dot stays put even if you're carrying a sb shotgun?)
HeyYou
You aren't the only one with that play style. :) There has GOT to be a mod that does pretty much what you need it to. Might try searching on 'crosshair', (in the appropriate game download section...) and see what comes up.
StormWolf01
Heyas HeyYou! Thanks for the reply! And yeah, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who likes to play like this :DI have looked around and the ones that I've seen, mostly just leave the dot, and make the crosshairs disappear. However, after your recommendation, I took a look at the files OF the mods that do it. They are mostly .swf edits. Not scripts or esp edits, or anything like that.So I've got a couple of them bookmarked, and I'm gonna try to find a free swf editor later on tonight, and see what I can figure out with them. :DRealizing that it's just a graphics edit or replace also gave me an idea for a mod for shotgun targetting. So I may also give that a try, if I can figure these out. (and my ADD doesn't throw it into the limbo of lost mod ideas in the back of my head, haha). Thanks for the tip HeyYou! Kudos for pointing me in a direction. And for the other helpful posts that you give people here in this section of the boards :)
