stabbykitteh
*snip* No offense, but that's possibly a bridge too far, yes? It's good to remember we're talking about a game. That said, it behooves software companies of all kinds to make their products as accessible as possible. When Skyrim was released, the UI was borderline unusable without ini tweaks and I don't have any issues with my hands. Judging by how many threads there were looking for fixes and how popular SkyUI is - the boat was big, so to speak. I usually defend Bethesda. Skyrim is a big, complex game - no matter how dumbed down some may think it is - and there will be bugs. Patching without breaking other stuff is difficult. I'm also one of those who really hasn't had many problems... until recently... But releasing an unoptimized (they forgot?) game with a UI that was difficult to navigate under the best of circumstances is totally worthy of complaint IMHO (and yeah I know nobody asked). It's fundamental stuff. Hoping the popularity of SkyUI has shown them something. Maybe Fallout 4 / TESVI will be handled better for PC.
slainia
Stemin, not everything is as black and white as you'd like it to be... sorry, but it isn't. TThe problems with the ui are more ridiculous than you seem willing to admit - there are legions of complaints about it. Even ignoring the i don't like the style complaints, there are thousands of people who experience glitches, not to mention the difficulty using a mouse. Also, the mouse problem isn't a glitch - it's a fault with the ui.you might get better responses from people if you try being a bit nicer in your replies. I'm not the one who made a big stink about the UI. Read it again. All I said was, "I don't see a problem with the UI because I use a 360 controller like the game was developed for" That's it. And I stand by my response that Bethesda should not be held accountable for developing a system that isn't designed to cater to disabilities. That is a beyond unreasonable request. They don't design hardware, they write software. As for not being "nice" as you put it, I didn't start the nastiness either. That was already here in this thread, except it was directed at Bethesda. All I did was attempt to defend them for making a great game. Don't pretend that the responses to me weren't confrontational (and that's putting it politely) because I don't think a certain someone knows how to frame a response without being confrontational. That's what they've advised throughout the whole thread and its no coincidence they're most active in the debate forum. Here's how this is going to end. I'm going to make an addition to my ignore list, and I'm going to opt to not post anymore in this thread, because clearly nothing good can come of it. If anyone cares that much about anything I said here, that's what PM is for. Edited November 9, 2012 by Stemin

SkyUI is the most essential mod for this game. I can do without any other mod but that.
blackninja50
@Stemin Okay, so your saying that if I make a game in Japanese that requires a special Japanese keyboard to play, then translate it to English but don't change the IU, so you have to use the odd-ball Japanese keyboard that's fine. Because the game was intended for the odd-ball Japanese keyboard? The point ginnyfizz made was that some people buy the game on PC because they don't want to, or CAN"T use a 360 controller. Also, if your too short and fat to play basketball, then buy an adjustable hoop like the people that buy Skyrim for the PC because they don't want to/can't use an Xbox controller. @ginnyfizz sorry about being off topic but from what you said, it sounds like you have arthritis. If so I would strongly recommended you try taking Methylsulfonylmethane aka MSM, it's what my old man takes for his arthritis and it really works. I do have rheumatoid arthritis, I shall have to ask my specialist if the MSM can be taken with all the other stuff I have, but thanks for the tip as it is very much worth a look. (Again sorry for off topic but I wanted to thank blackninja50).
