Premium Download Thru Mod Manager Extremely Slow

I just updated to the new version of NMM (0.30.2). I also simultaneously purchased a premium membership. For some reason, when I try to download a mod, either with the manager or manually, my speeds are extremely slow, as in not exceeding 30kbps. This is extremely frustrating as I am used to speeds of at least 500kbps on a non-premium account. Why the slow speeds? My connection has not changed any and still tests at the same speed (5mbps) (I know that's awful it's what my school gives me).

 

Any help would be appreciated.

One thing worth trying is using the logout button in NMM and then trying to login again. It's possible NMM might have still thought you were a normal member.

 

I've only just gotten up but based on some feedback I think the servers might have been a bit stressed last night. We're looking at all the data, but this is the sort of thing we can't account for, the actual stress test, during our own internal testing before a new release. Now we've got the data we need, we can tweak and tune things to optimum performance.
