Fallout 3 and GPU

Hello every one, this has surely already been asked....but....my rig is ryzen 2600_16 gb corsair vengeance 3000 mhz_Gpu gtx 770 OC....i plan to upgrade GPU for a gtx 1660 TI.

With my actual setting with a ton of mods i run Fallout 3 at 50 Fps cap (some drop at 41 fps) but it stays smooth by the way...No CTD at all.

My question is do you think that with GPU upgrade i could grab some fps improvement??

i have already used all the tweaks available such as 4gb enabler stutter and so on...

Thanx for your answers and keep playing this game dudes......

You'll see an increase but don't expect a huge jump in performance, the game doesn't make full use of modern hardware, this is a 6700k and a 1080ti in New Vegas (same engine), it was in an area where I was struggling to get 60 frames a second, as you can see the game isn't using what's available.

I am running an AMD Athlon 64 x2 at 2.9Ghz with an nVidia GTS450 and 8GB Ram on Windows 7 Professional.

I run about 122 mods in the load order and some texture mods that don't show there.

I get acceptable fps with the fps cap at 59 and the only slowdown I get is loading between some cells.

You should not have a problem with your current setup.

Yo thx for your answers guys.....i wasn't especially complaining about my frame rate as i said the game stays smooth and i cap it to 50 frames because using iron sight whitch tends to jam with fps above 54 fps.....the drop to 42 fps occurs only when shooting at close range with minigun and when there is a lot of ennemies banging together (like 10....) this game is really optimised the uggly way...so bad but it so good playing at..
