Textures stuck at ultra low resolution constantly

Rivertunar will give all the required statistics, you would need to set the monitoring in msi afterburner itself, in the Monitoring tab (tick all relevant things to monitor, these will display in the onscreen overlay in game), then set the hotkey to trigger the on screen display. then in game simply take a screenshot or video, and reply back with results

Required Information: (all the things you should tick in Msi Afterburner - Monitoring tab, click on each of these, and then tick the box that says show in onscreen display)

GPU - Usage and Tempertures

GPU Vram - Usage and Tempertures

System Memory - Usage and Tempertures

CPU - Usage and Tempertures

CPU 1 (Core 1) - Usage and Tempertures

CPU 2 (Core 2) - Usage and Tempertures

CPU 3 (Core 3) - - Usage and Tempertures

CPU 4 (Core 4) - - Usage and Tempertures

all of this information is required, to ensure their is no abnormalies with your hardware. for the cpu and its cores, this will also tell us if you have Core Parking Enabled.

I'll get the info once I get home from work. Thanks for helping me out!

When I was playing GTA V last night, I noticed the textures on that were a lower resolution than normal as well (much better than in FO4, but still worse than usual), so I'm wondering if I've fudged up some settings while resetting my PC.

For the usage stats, I know that my CPU, GPU, and RAM never went above 30% (with no mods) in the prologue - with the textures still ultra low res.

"Just did a reset". I'm a bit rusty on this, Gamewinner will probly need to tell you what's needed. But have you reinstalled all the necessary windows plugins for running games, such as directX, and all that good stuff? Sometimes those get screwed up, during install. A fresh install can sometimes cure problems.

Also, which Operating System (OS)(Windows version) is this? If it's winblows 10, did you let it FULLY update? I ask, because one of the updates from a few months ago, has been noted to mess with video games. If this is the case, I'd recommend trying to uninstall the last two (I think) updates, either via windows itself, or a 3rd party like Revo Uninstaller.

i am actually wondering, if the game is using your i5 6600k In-Built GPU instead of your Dedicated GPU. i am thinking that is a potential their.

i will wait for results however, as this will definitely tell me if that is the case or not, based on your CPU Usage, if its much higher then the GPU then this could very well indicate, that your game is actually using your IN-Built GPU that almost every Intel Processor Has, i5 6600k definitely has an IGPU

Can't get to my PC this evening, but I know it definitely is using the 1050ti, not the integrated graphics. It's really bizarre as the CPU/GPU use never goes above 50/60% outside of Downtown Boston, but regardless of the usage, I'm still getting these 512 textures. Even contacted Nvidia support, and they're as dumbfounded as I am as to why this is happening.

is all 3 Fallout 4 ini files, Set to Read-Only by any chance ?

as that would prevent Fallout 4 Video Settings from applying.

i know windows 10 sets all files that are on the same Partition as windows is installed on, to read-only by default, if so untick Read-Only for all 3 Fallout 4 Ini Files in documents, as well as the Fallout4.ini file in game installation folder.

then change settings to High or Ultra.

Damn, I completely forgot about this. Ended up getting too pissed off so stopped playing FO4, but I've just grabbed a new PC (Ryzen 3700X, RX 5700xt, 16gb RAM) and the same thing - albeit not quite as bad - happens. I'm thinking it's my monitor or something, because it's definitely not the PC.
