Can't figure out what's changing junk items

Hello,

So today I decided to disable Valdacil's Item Sorting for a few reasons, but afterwards I noticed some weird things going on with the junk in-game. For some reason a lot of junk had been renamed (stuff like "ashtray, dirty", "automotive tube flange" or "laboratory beaker stand"), also having different weights and base junk components than vanilla. I suppose it could be some sort of old file lying around in my data folder, but I'd like to leave validating my game files as a sort of last resort since it takes so long. For now, could someone here look over my load order and see if anything sticks out to you as something that might do this?

Thanks,

Wuique

Hi Wunique. I dont use that mod, never have. So please don't take what I'm about to say as written in stone, because I'm just guessing. But after spending about 8 minutes reading the mod page, looking at it, it doesn't look like a mod that you can just set to "inactive". Tho I'd wait for somebody whose more knowledgeable, like Gamewinner to say if that's true or not.

There may also be a plugin that you've got installed for it, that may also be the cause.

Looking over your loadorder tho, there's a couple of things that I want to mention.

You are running a SERIOUS amount of CC content in your game. (Bethesda has made a fortune off of you! )

I know you've spent a lot of money on that, but you really should know that running that much creation club content in your game can have really bad side effects. Anywhere from save game bloat (unnecessarily large save game files) to outright temporarily causing the game to write save games incorrectly. Resulting in a corrupted save, and the game telling you there isn't enough space to create a new save, delete some files. (Which is given completely in error).

I'd recommend going thru the CC that you absolutely use. Anything else, manually copy and paste them into another folder on your computer somewhere. That way, if you want to use them again, you can just copy and paste them back into your data folder.

Then remove the ones you hardly use with whichever mod manager you use, or manually delete the .esl and .bsa files from them from your data folder.

They're extremely easy to discern from other mods, as they all start with cc as the filename. Hence I recognized so many of them, right off the bat.

[Edit] I see that a lot of those are pip boy color schemes. You might look into Unified Clothing Overhaul (UCO) as an alternative, as it has a lot of color options for the pip boy that you can change in at the armor bench.[/edit]

Second, get rid of Companion Infinite Ammo and Unbreakable Power Armour That one has been known to break the scripts that send your companions home, whenever you recruit a new companion, with the first companion still in tow. Essentially making it so that the original companion still follows you around, still gives off a NONSTOP litany of idle chatter, and you can't make them do anything else. They won't accept any other commands. AND that broken script bakes into your save games. There's no fix for it, other than starting up a new character.

I'd recommend replacing it with https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24233 Better Companions - No Conflicts as this one doesn't touch any of the vanilla files.

Or I personally use Amazing Follow Tweaks, which also does what these mods do, also adds in Send Companions Home, gives you recruiting options, gives you looksmenu options, a whole slew of options for companions and followers. But it is NOT an easy mod to use in game. It's got a really steep learning curve.

Off Topic but appropriate:

you are making Boston Fps Fix Completely redundant

BostonFPSFix-NukaWorld.esp + BostonFPSFix-FarHarbour.esp = Nullifiying BostonFPSFixAIO.esp
BostonFPSFixAIO.esp = Base Game + ALL DLC, that is Automatron - (Robot.ESM), Far Harbour -(DLCCoast.ESM) and Nukaworld - (DLCNukaworld.ESM)
Note: AIO = All in One, which in modding terms usally means it covers all DLC, and or all optional files a mod may offer combined into a single ESP.
by running all of them, you are preventing the mod from working at all, 2 or More mods that fix the same precombines, will completely cancel each other out, thus broken precombines remain.
On Topic:
Ensure you have Deleted all of these Files:
Fallout/Data/
VIS-PatchChemRedux.esp (6.5 kB) <-- If Applicable
VIS-PatchChemReduxWeightless.esp (6.5 kB) <-- If Applicable
And any and all Esp Names that Starts with: ValdacilsItemSorting-
Fallout/Data/Interface/DEF_Conf
DEF_INV_TABS.xml (3.6 kB)
DEF_INV_TAGS.xml (8.6 kB)
DEF_INV_TAGS_NoWeapons.xml (6.9 kB)
lyrConf.xml
after doing the above, Re-Install DEFUI if applicable
