jgarling
I use JHP rounds for my 7mm rifle to hunt Antelope in Wyoming. Trust me... they have no problem going through a piece of steel at even 400 yards. We use steel plates behind our targets and they punch through that just fine. I know that AR rounds are a bit different, but I still think there wouldn't be a problem.
OnyxAbyss
Umm, isn't a parsec a unit of measurement, not time? :P
evilbeefjerky
Umm, isn't a parsec a unit of measurement, not time? :P You see the problem is that George Lucas, while very creative and imaginative is also a very stupid man.Sort of like Todd Howard. Only without the creativeness or imagination. ZING!
mikekearn
The Kessel Run being made in 12 parsecs was later retconned to recover from Lucas' idiocy. They say it meant to do it in such a short distance meant Han had to get really close to the Maw, a great black hole. Only daring (or stupid) pilots would do that, making it impressive. Normally going around it would be 18 parsecs. I hate that I know that.

Btw based on how something is shaped and smelted it can totally effect how well an improper bullet would puncture a surface it shouldn't be. grumbler
You have to remember that Bethesda don't see Power Armor as alternate 21st century Science! nuclear powered hydraulic super future walking tanks. They see it just as they see medieval plate armor from Oblivion. Right down to the sound they make as you walk. So don't expect any realism in what type of ammo it takes to penetrate it when they don't even understand the basic concepts behind it.I agree that Powered Armor in the game isn't "real" FO powered armor (which is to say, what 1950s SCIENCE! saw for 21st century powered armor) but I think it is absurd to say that someone wearing armor wouldn't be interested in seeing if hollow-point rounds could penetrate it! Given that HP rounds are probably going to be encountered more often than FMJ rounds, this will affect tactics, and if it cannot resist HP then it certainly won't resist FMJ. I think people are looking for nitpicky reasons to bag on BethSoft for this game, and I don't understand it when there are so many big, juicy things that can be brought up so they can be fixed by mods.
