CasperTheLich
hoover above the water and avoid the nasty slaughter fish and the larger things that I cant remember their name. the dreugh? one more thing i miss from morrowind. the fletching mod. where you can create & customize every stock arrow in the game. make some ebony arrows & remove the arrowhead, replace it with 2 or 4 sided razor tips, or coat it in scorpion poison, or attach pouches containing exploding powder to the arrowheads. loved that. SPELL CREATION! If all you saw was snow then you didn't really explore some of the more beautiful areas of Skyrim. The Rift is absolutely gorgeous. the Reach just feels so remote, I can get lost in those hills for days. I actually really enjoy riding across the tundra, hunting Elk. The marsh;ands around Morthal are so creepy, I love the atmosphere. Blackreach! I recently got morrowind and the graphics overhaul 3.0, and the game does looks decent. But, take this point of view from someone who played Skyrim first. You say Skyrim is all snow and tundra, I say that Morrowind is either ashland or swamps. luzburg
I KNOW LOL. And now I managed to double post trying to fix it, not my day at all. Edited October 26, 2012 by luzburg
Enatiomorph
Give us spell creation, or give us death. Put the Magic back in Magic! But why did you think that SC was only good for making OP things? You never used it, or did you just not get creative with it, or RP with it or what? Inquiring minds who used spell creation (an the mechanics in ES games in general) much like an Inuit would use a whale carcass, would like to know. Creating spells to spam increase your magical abilities for one thing. Making 1 sec charm spells to exploit it. The fact you ended up with way too many spells lol. The fact you ended up with way too many spells lol. I actually didn't consider that an exploit. My mage characters in Oblivion usually made various "mantra" spells (one for each school, ie. "Mantra of Pain" -> low fire damage on self, "Mantra of Bliss" -> low healing on self, etc.) which they would sometimes use while relaxing at home. I considered it a viable RP alternative to paying for training... it still required me to dedicate time to increasing my skills.

But even then, that isn't what I'm talking about in regards to making spells, customization and RP/gameplay style diversity, thinking outside of the box, getting creative etc. Edited October 26, 2012 by Enatiomorph
nakakita
There's exploits for raising spell skill levels in Skyrim too. Raise conjuration by soul-trapping your horse, or a corpse for example. I got my destruction skill to the max level once (along with heavy and light armor) by picking on a pair of frost trolls. Cast lightning rune, have them explode it, do it again.. they'll regenerate their health back as long as you're careful. With a random buff you get from the college that makes your mana regeneration rate instant for a couple hours, this is pretty easy. Boring. But easy. Creating 'mantras' like what Janus mentioned feels far more legit than either of these tactics in Skyrim. Oh yes, and of course there's also the pickpocket the trainer trick. Though as long as you have absurdly priced potions, and your trainer is a merchant, you don't even need to do that.
