Kaerar Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Hi guys, just trying to make Ethereal's and Sectoid Commanders a bit more of an interesting fight. Currently their Psi powers are wasted due to LoS restrictions. So I'm trying to apply squadsight to them, however it's not quite going to plan. A test by changing a Sectoid's stats for "=eAbility_NONE,ABILITIES[3]" to "=eAbility_SquadSight,ABILITIES[3]" resulted in no written or documented change in the game as to their actual abilities (post autopsy), however sectoid squads were activating off screen once the first group had been seen. This got me thinking that it's possibly working but I can't be sure (new game test on Impossible). Can someone else confirm what I'm seeing and whether it's actually working or not?
catshoadw Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 so this statement might not be very much help to you but i have just started playing impossible with the war space mod and have had groups of sectiods activate from distances that would imply they saw me outside of normal line of sight this i think is a minor bug or a intended effect of impossible (so more stuff starts attacking you at once) no mod exp on my part but just tossing out this info to try and help as i would love to see psi powers lose there range requirement as its just silly my squad sight sniper cant Mind Control from far away thinking of which psi powers might have there own effective ranges
