Weird terrain issue

In the creation kit, it shows that all my terrain is ok and evenly smoothed out, yet when I test in game, there's an elevated terrain and I can run through it, see through it when I'm inside it and etc. It's weird, but more importantly I need to get rid of it. I'm still a novice modder, so it may be an easy fix, I just can't find it in the creation kit. Can someone please help me get rid of it? Thank you, much appreciated :).

Not sure about the first pic, but the second pic shows driver artifacting. That can be a sign of your card dying, or just that your settings are too high (or your card is overheating, either through settings or dust in your case.)

You can try the following:

Turn down your graphics.

Update your drivers. Try a clean reinstall to make sure you remove all the old driver files, if you have NVidia.

Blow out your case.

Remove Graphics mods.

This happens when you're altering the Skyrim terrain (adding/removing bits, altering the landscape itself) but do not update the LOD, which are essentially low-res versions of the terrain/features to be used at various distances (for quicker rendering).

Now I'm not altering skyrim itself, only new external worlds at the moment, but you will have to update the LOD. In the CK, this is a total PITA.

Luckily, there are other tools available for free.

Oscape (just one of them, but my fave)

Maybe someone else can chip in on how to efficiently do this for Tamriel, because I don't see you regenerating all of Skyrim's LOD for changing just a little bit of landscape.
