I wanted to ask if anyone could suggest how i may fix a problem with this plugin which i bought and downloaded earlier today as i have tried to play this evening and my game crashed.

I then ran Nexus Mod Manager to enable all active mods and then Loot which cleaned the plugins for the dlc's and found that it said

This plugin contains records that have FormIDs outside the valid range for an ESL plugin.Using this plugin will cause irreversible damage to your game saves.

Heya Isingalong.

Right now, that latest update from Beth is bad news.

It doesn't work. It breaks the game.

There's more info here on how to get your game working again, by replacing all the files that the latest update screwed up.

Edit- I lnked to the wrong page. Link corrected /Edit

Now comes the really bad news. You paid for something that you can't use, not til this gets all straightend out. I'm sorry to have to tell you that

Look at this thread on how to roll back your game.

Sorry, you had to learn it the hard way: CC isn't worth paying for. It's not official content, but content provided by modders and provided by Bethesda without any ... cough, cough ... quality control.

Agreed. And then they release some of it for free, after other people have paid for it. That's not right. Not to mention that they make NO WARNING that too many of their ESL files in your system can cause CTD, Savegame corruption, or force you to uninstall mods already on your system in order to install new ones, regardless of whether you're at the 255 plugin limit or not.

Quality control? Those are definitely not two words that I would associate with Bethesda, haha.

*cough* Release of FO76 *cough*

Thank you for your response.

I went in to my Steam Library,Fallout 4,data folder and used cc to find the esl, main and textures files for this mod and then deleted them and then went back to the Creation Club section and downloaded it again and still found that the emssage as previously was still the same and as a consequence i have deleted the relevant items again and will not be downloading them until the problem is fixed.

Would it be worth contacting Bethesda and mentioning what the problem is as i don't like paying for a mod that i cannot use.

Also if i load my game again from the last save which i want to use will this be okay

The mistake is paying for a mod in the first place when there are excellent quest mods on the nexus for free. It's just an exploitation model, courtesy of Bethesda.

Well, try to contact them, if you feel like it. Chances are, you get some generic response.

I can completely understand how you feel. Paying for something that you cannot use. If this were other companies, I would say that you should definitely contact them to let them know about the problem. I definitely think that you should check to see if there are any threads on their forums about the problem, and join in on it.

However, this is Bethesda. The same company that sold a big FO 76 pack, then swapped out the contents for much cheaper contents after release. People complained, and the company did nothing aside from "We had to cut costs". Absolutely nothing, until a class action lawsuit against them was started.

I tend to stay away from the Bethesda forums, but I can pretty much already see their official response. "The problems are caused by outside sources, not within the realm of Bethesda's original programming. As such, it's not our fault, or responsibility." IE "You modded your game, that's not our fault. The disclaimer says you do so at your own risk."

But we'll still be more than happy to sell those mods to you.

Bethesda is incredibly lazy and downright terrible about support for their products and games. This is not anything new. From my own knowledge, they've been like this since I started playing Morrowind Elder Scrolls, oh.....20 years ago.
