SnowFox35
I'm not sure if my ENB is causing this or not. I use the Caffeine ENB - which I followed a tutorial to install since I've never installed one before. Here's what it looks like: I also have Real Clouds and Enhanced Lights which may also cause the issue. Has this been seen before? How do I fix this? Thanks! Deleted54170User
Skyrim usually checks your video card to determine the best settings suited for it. Learn from the video card's owners manual if you have it or look it up surfing the web to the company who makes it. Find out what it can handle. Some video cards Skyrims testing to find out the cards capability don't exist anymore and Skyrim function is unfamiliar with newer video cards. Skyrim's tell will set the video options to low settings, just to be on the safe side, since the test has not been upgraded for modern video cards. Newer video cards are too new for the game checking tool to recognize. And they are quite capable of using all the High and Ultra High settings. Change yours around. Open the launch windows and click on Options. Check the setting. Screen 16:9 4:3 or what have you. Set the resolution to your monitor resolution. If the switches for advanced settings are set to Low in some buttons change them to High. If you know your computer's video card can handle Ultra high set them to that and all the others that have High to that. Your video setting set up to the highest they can handle will improve the image and Frames Per Second so you don't see any lag, tears, or haze. Haze it the machine way of saying your video card either can't handle the resolution or those settings are too load for your system to provide the best Quality picture it can provide. If you computer is new five years old or less settings could work in high where Ultra High is available in the Games Options for the video card. The lower settings are for old computers so they provide the best picture and better game Performance for game play. See if setting the controls to High or Ultra High on all the can be moved to the higher buttons and see if it helps.

Whatever it is, it must be caused by a mod or the ENB I have installed. Still unsolved.
Grospolina
It's probably ENB. Test this by toggling effects on/off with Shift+F12. If it turns out that it is ENB causing it, then open up the ENB config menu with Shift+Enter. Under EFFECT, toggle the various effects on and off to see if it fixes it. If you're happy with the changes, hit Save Configuration.

I enabled this because my night time was way too dark and the lights didn't look as good. Turns out, that's what caused the mountains issue in the first place. I solved the darkness issue here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/650980-skyrim-with-enb-too-dark-at-night/ So note to self and everyone out there that have this issue, Don't enable UseOriginalObjectsProcessing! Grospolina
Huh, that's good to know. I've seen other people post with similar problems before, but most people don't come back and say what fixed it (or maybe they never fixed it at all). So thanks.
