ninjaman2
My computer crashed horribly last weekend, and unfortunately, my mod backups were saved in the skyrim directory, instead of somewhere like My Documents, where they could be backed up. At this point in restoring my computer, I'd rather just drop 5 bucks on a month of Nexus premium to view my download history than spend a whole day of trial and error, trying to find the right mods, but before I do: is there a way to get a list of mods (like active .esp files) from my save games synced from the Steam cloud? That would make this process WAY easier! Thanks! Edited October 27, 2012 by ninjaman2
chaospearl
If you can get an actual save file onto whatever machine you're using now, I believe Wrye Bash will show you which mods were running in the savegame. I know it works for normal savegames, not certain about Steam cloud saves.
Mujuro
If you're able to pull your saves off Steam, you can use Wrye Bash like chaospearl said to get the (ordered) mods associated with the save.
ninjaman2
Thanks guys. It's a nice list under the screenshot. I'll use this along with BOSS, and keep backups in my documents folder from now on.
MotoSxorpio
Mod list? %appdata% in search, back out of roaming, find Skyrim folder...You should find at least two of these: DLCList.txt (only the Skyrim Launcher uses this, when I have ONLY actual DLC listed, more stable)plugins.txt (game reads this)loadorder.txt (actual load order, if this and the plugins.txt match you should be good--this should tell you what you had active last time you loaded up)SteamModList.txt (Steam uses this one) NMM stores mods in a folder in Skyrim/... Restoring an install to fit a save game might be a bit ambitious, but it can be done.
