The rusty face as in having lost eybrows, lips and being dark brown? If so, you have to replace the textures of your character.

That may differ from player to player, depending on which body and texture mods they're using. But rule of thumb, you have to find a set of matching textures and drop them in the appropriate folder in you data folder.

StormWolf01
Heyas BeatBeatPunk - Ok, there's a couple of reasons why you can get the brown face glitch. 1) as cossayos mentioned, your textures aren't being read correctly. Have you done the .ini fix that is required for texture mods. It's listed right there on the CBBE page. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15 2) You have something that isn't loading right when you come on the screen. I've had that happen with bad cells, or the game not starting correctly. You mentioned that you were having blackscreen, it's possible that the issue isn't fully fixed. In MY case, it was mods that added workshops to areas that weren't intended to be settlements that was causing the issue. My system was working too hard to work past the problem, and was causing visual glitches by not processing the textures correctly. 3) ONLY mix texture files, if they are all packed together in the same mod. What I mean is, is the 4k tex from one mod, and the 8k tex from a different mod? If so, that's part of your problem right there. The way that this game engine handles texture and material files, it's not just as simple as "Oh, they're just picture files". Different mod authors could have processed their files differently, and the two may not be fully compatible. 4) you don't need 8k textures in a game like this one. Just because your fps doesn't drop, doesn't mean that it's not hard on your system. 5) Make sure that it's not just the game that's causing it. Make sure that you don't have something else running on your computer that is draining it of horsepower. Or that's running heavy competition for CPU cycles, and competing for the use of your hard drive/solid state drive. You can see that by pressing ctrl alt and delete keys all at the same time, and choosing the task manager and then clicking more options. First, get your textures straightened out.Second, make sure that your computer is running well.Start the game with only CBBE, and see if it's fixed. After that, start reactiving ONE mod PER game start. If it's good, shut down the game, activate another mod, and try again. Rinse and repeat until problem comes back. If problem persists, even with no mods, cut down the load on your computer. If even that doesn't help, you need to do something about your video card, like reinstalling/updating ur video drivers. PS- Sorry if I'm coming off as being blunt and to the point. It's not personsal. Thanksgiving really wore me the heck out!
cossayos
can you tell me how to do it? like I said im using 4k face and 8k body for cbbe... If you're using CBBE as you body model, it's a pretty easy procedure. Just manullay download any CBBE texture that suits you, put it them in a folder on you desktop and replace you texture in the correspondent folder in your data. The reason why I can't be any clearer is, there are numerous mods out there that may change that folder. I'm using unique player and followers, so my correspondent folder may differ from yours. Thanksgiving really wore me the heck out! thank you for your advice, im gonna try it out as soon as possible... although when you said reactivating one mod per game start did you mean one body/face texture mod, or literally every mod? because I don't know if my sanity can take starting f04 200+ without actually playing it. also hope everybody had a wonderful thanksgiving ^^
