anjenthedog
Simple question. Is there any difference between the two methods that make using the console to save less safe, valid, etc? I have two characters, and I play a couple different vectors with each. Skyrim's default save scheme is less than "desirable" for identifying which is which, so I'm thinking that maybe I ought to just scrap the menued save in favor of a save I can name. Am I missing something in how to save files via the menu that allows me to name a save, or is console based ave a better option (or not, because of some deficiency of which I'm unaware)? HadToRegister
The only PITA about using the console, is the saves end up OUTSIDE the Named saves.Meaning, if you load up a game, and pick your character's name, the named saves won't be there, they'll be in the main save game area instead. It's stupid, but that's how the save system works
anjenthedog
Oh...yeah I suppose there's that. I can live with it if it means naming my own savefiles. Thanks for the reply. That confirms what I was hoping. No harm no foul for using console. a small victory!
