JimmyRJump
Retrieving the three parts of the Stealth X-13 Prototype Suit proves glitchy. I found the gloves and suit and when I came to a door with a console I learned I needed the suit in my inventory to be granted access. I checked my inventory because I just picked-up the suit but none of the parts were there. I was able to add the chestpiece through console and that part was visible in my inventory. Picking up the 'real' chestpiece didn't add anything to my inventory, nor does picking-up the boots. Adding gloves or boots through console code adds the parts (the text they've been added appears top left of the screen) but they're nowhere to be found in my (overflowing) inventory. Not under 'stealth' or X-13 or 'prototype'. So, I'm stuck.Anyone know of a solution to this problem?
JimmyRJump
I was of course able to bypass the console and door by using the 'unlock' console command and can do the stealth armor training thanks to the fact I was able to add and wear the chestpiece, but this is a strange thing. Maybe it's because I have too many items in my inventory or because I have too many plugins. I'm at 135 right now and the problems start around 140 for me an mostly show as severe texture glitches as the game seems to 'forget' to load a lot of them when the plugin count is too high... Anyway, I've first had a look around the net and the glitch or bug doesn't seem too common as I've not found anything about it on a cursory search. AusAllerWelt
If I remember correctly you have to collect all three parts (Gloves, Boots and Chestplate) of the Sealth Suit and upon collecting the last part the Suit is added to your inventory. The single parts don't count as armor. Edited December 3, 2019 by AusAllerWelt
JimmyRJump
If I remember correctly you have to collect all three parts (Gloves, Boots and Chestplate) of the Sealth Suit and upon collecting the last part the Suit is added to your inventory. The single parts don't count as armor. Please read what I wrote, Welt. I did collect all three parts and gotten the message too and the quest advanced, except that the parts didn't show up in my inventory and the controm console at the door wouldn't let me in because it didn't find the pieces in my inventory. I had to add them through console commands and even then only the chest piece was in my inventory although I got the message for each part each time that they were added. The glitch is that the parts don't show in my inventory except for the chest piece and the latter only when added through the console. As a consequence I had to open the computer locked door with the game's console 'unlock' command and to do the tests only the chest piece is needed. At least, for me. I'm about to start the third test with wearing just the armor without gloves or boots.
dubiousintent
Haven't seen this glitch before, but your guess about too much in your inventory makes sense. Try dumping stuff in "The Sink" quarters first. If that isn't enough, try reducing your plugin count down to 128 on a temporary basis. (The "plugin cap" is more of a guideline than a hard limit.) -Dubious-
JimmyRJump
Haven't seen this glitch before, but your guess about too much in your inventory makes sense. Try dumping stuff in "The Sink" quarters first. If that isn't enough, try reducing your plugin count down to 128 on a temporary basis. (The "plugin cap" is more of a guideline than a hard limit.) -Dubious-I finished the DLC thru opening doors with the console. I later found all three pieces in my inventory in the pipboy's 'misc' tab instead of 'apparel' which does explain why I didn't find them but not why the door's terminal didn't acknowledge I had the parts on me. I didn't look into things any further as I wanted to get out of the place asap because the Jazz music on a loop was driving me nuts. Near the end (after eight hours trudging around) I found out the music can be turned off thru the pipboy radio tab... For me, the plugin cap is momentarily at 139. It used to be higher but it seems to go down as the game progresses. I can't have more than 139 or the game starts refusing to load textures, leaving holes in the game going from small items missing and showing grey to three quarts of the environment going AWOL. At the start of the game I ran 155 plugins without visible glitches. I have the occasional CTD, but less so when I turn off Steam (the version I play is from GOG anyway).
