Hi guys why dont you read my post "full xbox 360 controller support (I got it working)

I know its not a mod,but if you do excactly as i described you get all options working with the controller and without any interfering.

Only drawback is that youll have to use the mouse cursor with the right analog stick and of course its a bit slower, you can open inventory, close it(use left trigger to scroll through pages),left thumb is sneak (just use the toogle function),

right thumb is grab (again use toogle),no interfering with casting = LB, RB is run (use toogle) to turn running on/off; LT is also attack which also have the selecting feature in your inventory.

I got no problems controlling everything in game and i think this is as close as you get for full support with a controller (OH yeaah remember if you want to drop something go into your inventory, select the item hold attack=LT and drag

it out of the window.

Here's something many people do not seem to know for some strange reason: Oblivion has controller support, it's just not compatible with an Xbox360 controller. Here's how you fix that: Download xpader or some equivalent, then map the right stick as the mouse and the triggers as the mouse buttons. Morrowind is the exact same way. You now have full Xbox360 controller that works completely. Do not map anything else, otherwise it screws things over.

I know this is an old thread, but I've been needing to post this somewhere for quite a while now.

if thats the case then surly a mod for the same effect is not out of the question, as previously stated

I just spent about 13 hours trying to get all of these programs and ini changes and so on to work. All were unsuccessful. Terrible. I am messing around with JoytoKey right now. I expect the same exact results, but if it actually works, which it won't, I'll report my success here.

I need a controller. I spent 20 years playing with a controller, so I'm terrible with a keyboard, and I'm not interested in learning it.

SOLVED

Finally! Took me all day to get this thing working right, but after 15 hours, I finally got it working decently. There's only one drawback...your running is no longer analogue sensitive. It's really not so bad though. There are times when I only want to run, and times when I only want to walk, but rarely a time that I need to switch back and forth, so it isn't hurting me any. Every site I saw about this had one thing in common...they were all using JoytoKey. They were also using another program, but it seemed to be a different one in each vid. Turns out, you only need JoytoKey! Why the heck everyone kept using 2 different programs is well beyond me, but here is the setup I ended up with. The only one that let's me function with a controller comfortably. The buttons are all pretty much what you think they'd be. Attack = right-trigger, pause = start button, sneak = L3 (left analogue button), and so on.

So, without further ado... here's the result of 15 hours of research made pitifully and embarrassingly easy:

JoytoKey

To download, click the [Direct Download Link] just below the big green stupid [Download Now] crap that only wants to sucker you into downloading a useless installer. What kind of world do we live in when the big "DOWNLOAD HERE" link is the thing you don't want to click!?

Just remember to go to your oblivion.ini in either Documents\My Games\Oblivion, or if you use Mod Organizer (and you SHOULD), go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Oblivion\profiles\[your profile name]. You'll see the oblivion.ini in there that you want to use to make all ini adjustments when using MO. In there, you want to change, in the 'controls' section, bUseJoystick=1 to =0.

Also remember, if you leave your JoytoKey running when you aren't playing, your controller will still function the same way! You can move your cursor around with it, and do everything it's programmed to do. So 'A' will be your 'space bar', 'Y' is 'E', 'Start' is 'escape', and so on.
