0065(0010)0004: LUCKYTHIRTEEN: ARCHDOME SURPRISES!

Jadekin rejoined Jadestone, keen to help him discover just what had been going on in the ArchDome Cylinder. She brought many with her and now they each led a large, well secured, search party. They found another domechamber with another pyramid-arm machine, that was not fake at all but whose purpose was a mystery.

They found the remains of another ancient battleground, just as horrific as the first but even bigger, and there three more cursed Amulets of Kings. This battlefield had been well looted afterward, unlike the other.

Then they found a real, once functioning project. A great bizarre creature-machine, part alive and part Dwemer type hardware, slept quietly while Dwemer mechanisms tended to it. Every eight minutes or so something rolled down a semi-enclosed chute and dropped into a wheeltub. When the wheeltub was filled, Dwemer spiders would push it away and replace it with an empty wheeltub. The items that rolled down the semi-enclosed chute were soulstones.

Jadekin snorted. “So, that is one way to create a soulstone though not the way the first ones were created by the TwistedGod and the AntiDivines in the Mythic Era.”

When the AllDivine blessing flowed through the chamber, through the machine-creature, even the JadeThirteen was taken greatly by surprise. Then they realized that the blessing went through the ArchDome from top of the dome to the lowest level of the Cylinder. Only in the Mythic Era itself had the AllDivine ever intervened in such a manner in Tamriel or at least that is what the JadeThirteen knew. Even the Nine Divines did not seem to know all that the AllDivine did.

The atmosphere of the ArchDome improved amazingly. The junk was no longer junk. Resurrected people, in the hundreds, were also test-transformed and confused. There were animals also, hundreds of them, coming from places that the JadeThirteen had not explored.

The big machine-creature was no longer producing soulstones but was more at peace, was creating crystalstones. All soulstones, millions had been stored away in great bins, were now crystalstones. There were many fancier devices but much more in the way of more basic, but useful, resources.

They found the ZeroGate in a space formerly well hidden but now all of the secret gates to it were open. Through this had gone the resources that had supposedly gone to the fake projects. From the ZeroGate had come other things but what?

Then came an Alzmer woman, tall and elegant in a working robetunic, who had been Dwemer once. She was changed now but she was obviously sad at what she had done, at what her people had done and at what had happened in that place.

“We had three of the poor machine-creatures making soulstones that went through the ZeroGate to unknown destinations along with many other resources. None of the Zero Projects were real and somehow very few knew it who lived and worked in the ArchDome. Some magical mesmerization was used but mainly far more basic, older trickeries of deception and just official secrecy. Those pyramid-arm machines were designed to look as if they did something important but they did no such thing. The capsule-cylinders were not meant to save people but to store future subjects for experimental projects. LordZero was not truly evil because he was an emotionless avatar of true evil, was a puppet, as all ZeroLords are. There was a series of unofficial projects carried out here. The cursed Amulets of Kings were created here; I was one of those who helped to create them and I paid for doing so.”

NINE DIVINES: Pertaining to the worship of nine Divines, deities.

NORDS: Native humans to the Province of Skyrim.

THALMOR: The Thalmor are often taken to be a fanatical faction of Altmer but are actually a different people. Secretly they see themselves as the 'True Altmer'

and see themselves as being superior to all other Mer Peoples though they do respect the Altmer more than other Mer. Not so secretly they despise all nonMer Peoples and see them as being inferior to Mer Peoples.

SUPER TAMRIEL SAGA

0066(0010)0005: LUCKYTHIRTEEN: ARCHDOME SURPRISES!

After a moment, Saedimi went on speaking. “The cursed Amulets of Kings were used to trick the Ayleid, and Dwemer, Peoples. They drained much of the life essence from the Ayleid, and Dwemer, weakening them greatly. The Ayleid were far more damaged than were the Dwemer. All Mer Peoples are linked in a 'secondary sense' and so much life energy was drained from all of the Ayleid, weakening their magic, their brilliance, their clarity of mind, their wisdom that was not overly strong in the first place. Many Ayleid died or went mad or became physically sickened or more than one of those. You could correctly state that from that moment on the advanced Ayleid society was doomed and that the Dwemer were badly wounded, had lost something vital, though there is more to the Dwemer story than what happened here.”

Saedimi bowed. “I will seek redemption by helping the survivors here in the ArchDome, by advising the Empire of all I know and by assisting to deal with the current crisis. The testing-transformation gave me clarity of mind, a new look at what I already knew, but also some more knowledge. There is still a great deal for me to learn. I have a 'message' of sorts to pass to you. The AllDivine is only intervening because it must to try to restore some healthy balance to Mundus; Mundus has become unstable; with the message came a warning; nothing comes free and there is always a price to pay.”

Jadestone nodded. “Sounds like the AllDivine.”

Jadekin smiled. “We JadeThirteen, of the LuckyThirteen, are as old as Mundus.”

Jadestone sighed. “We are a 'special' aspect of Mundus itself, of its very fabric.”

Jadekin sighed. “The AllDivine must, by its very nature, always demand a price of some kind but that is not always a harsh one, far from it.”

Soon there were some local problems for the Kvatch Leadership, that had not helped at all in the crisis, started demanding total control of the ArchDome and all of its resources. They did not offer to assist the new Imperial Citizens with their lives, stating that was up to the Empire. They were ignored, in a polite formal sense, and then threatened by the Empire. The Empire took direct control over the ArchDome, its Cylinder, all of its resources but not just the Imperium. Various guilds, the Orders of the Divine and other factions were to take part in the process.

In following months all of the Kvatch Leadership were quietly pushed into early retirement and were replaced by individuals more willing, and able, to productively work as part of the Empire. Three advisers were found to be MythicDawn Followers and were executed. Five other individuals vanished quickly, fleeing from Imperial Justice.

I am sorry but growing pressures of off internet kind has forced me to close down some of my fanfics here in the Druids Garden of the Nexus Forums. Edited by Maharg67
