Linky1
mhahn, that is a great idea on coping, and I do a simular thing but its with different games, im doing oblivion, fallout, skyrim, neverwinter ect.Lanceor, I understand that it wont get a million views or 100k endorsments, I just wanted to know if people would download it, or if Oblivion is dead. Well I sure feel that people would due to posotive feedback, and yes I am prepared for drawbacks ect because actually a few years ago I started this mod, got a lot done (almost ready for release) , then the mod got corrupt and didnt let me load it, or open it in the CS, causing me to start again, but then Skyrim came and now im redoing the mod :). I am used to this sort of thing but I will keep that in mind, thanks for the advice. I may try helping other projects, which I think is an awesome idea, so I will look into that :)Bben46 If you want I could send some mods your way that you may like to further enchance this new playthrough, or another one maybe? Thanks for all the help guys, Im definatly going to do this and I greatly appreciate and value your comments :D
Tigersong
One thing I'd like to add. If you need to know anything about how to do a certain aspect of modding, have a look at the Elder Scrolls Alliance. Specifically, the Enclave.
Lanceor
People are still downloading Morrowind mods, so as long as your expectations are realistic, there will be a decent number of users for your Oblivion mod. :)
ElderScrollsFan001
I am by no means a modding expert, but here's my look on modding. You make stuff for your self and just have fun doing it. If you want to share it share it. Pass that it up to the folk to DL it.... after it's up in the public there many factor that hard to predict if people want to DL it....one factor that is a big help to in DL appeal is making sure you post screen shots But basically you never now until you post it.... DrakeTheDragon
So far I for one always waited to be asked, before I released a mod. This way I was always assured there'd be at least 1 person definitely using it.And as long as there is at least 1 person definitely using it, a mod of mine will remain available for download. If it gets to my attention it's no longer used by anybody at all, chances are I will take it down... though that's very unlikely. Creating always comes first, only then comes releasing. Whether I'll release it or not even is of no concern when I start with a mod's creation. But that's just "my" look on it.
