My Fallout 3 copy completely changed??

I got Fallout 3 for PC, non steam version. I had diagonal movement animations, there was already a meshes and textures folder that had all that stuff for mods, and what not.

I recently had to restore my computer and then install the game again. When I tried to put my backed up mods back in there was no meshes and textures folder and when I launched the game I noticed that the diagonal animations were gone.

Any help on how to get it back like before?

Also I still tried to put my backed up Meshes and Textures folder there and the mods were in the game the next time I launched it.

Btw I am having problems installing DIMONIZED Type 3 body base now because of this issue, any help on this would be appreciated.

Where did you get your Fallout3 that everything did not install from the disc? The meshes and textures should be found in the Fallout3/Data.

I know how it is in the Fallout3/Data, that's the problem, the folders weren't there in the first place. Everything installed the first time I got it, but now it didn't. I have found Meshes.bsa and Textures.bsa by the way.

There are no meshes or textures folders in a vanilla install because all of the games assets are packed inside of bsa archives. The meshes and textures folders will be there when you install mods that have them or you can make the folders inside there yourself if you want.

What if I want to install DIMONIZED Type 3 female bodybase?

Also, I have found the .bsa archives.

You can create the folders yourself. Open Fallout 3, if you have a Data Folder, open it. If not, right click on a blank section of the open Fallout 3 folder and choose "New". When the menu expands, choose "Folder". Name this new folder "Data". Now, open the newly created Data folder and again right click in a blank section and choose "New". When the menu expands, choose "Folder". Name this new folder "Meshes". Now, right click on a blank section of the Data folder and choose "New". When the menu expands, choose "Folder". name this new folder "Textures". Now you have the necessary folders to install the mod.
