muratguler
Hi All I am currently level 13 and i have been in this level for about 30 hours of playing. My experience increases really slow and i wonder why it is so.In this 30 hours,i didn't spend extra time for things such as practicing to improve myself or wander aimlessly.I just played how i have been used to play from the beginning and completed some quests. In this 30 hours,i mainly dealt with main quest and main quest related quests.I closed 4 Oblivion gates and finished 3-4 main quest related quests. Is this something normal when you are doing main quest or is there a problem with my game. One last thing,i don't do long and frequent journeys in order to sell my goods for better prices.OOO 1.33 and 1.2.0416 patches are added. wasder
What are your main skills? Are they the skills you use most?
muratguler
I am Nord-Warrior and Knight. My main skills are Blade-Block-Blunt-Hand to Hand-Heavy Armour-Illusion and Speechcraft.Actually, during my progress in main quest i generally used some spells and my bow to kill the enemies in Oblivion gates cause my block is not good and some creatures in here reflect damege of my blades.I fought with the strategy of climb up somewhere and cast spell+shoot with arrow.Do you think it is the reason ???? dlcooper
Hi, Staying back and using arrows would increase your marksman skill and casting offensive spells would probably be destruction or something like that. You're probably using all your minor skills and increasing your minor skills will get them up higher but doesn't affect your level. You need to increase your major skills to increase your level. You have blade, block, blunt, and hand to hand as major so you could start fighting in close with melee weapons instead of bows. Using your major skills more will increase your level. SirTwist
Ok, I do wonder around places, do side quests, even do some of the main quests. I'm actually a level 5 Nightblade. I'm slowly raising some of skills, but it's taking time. I also use trainers. I did find, though, that the best way to raise your speechcraft is to talk to everyone, and bribe and do the mini-game. For blocking, use a one-hand sword and shield, and use the shield to block attacks with, on occasion. Wearing, and using heavy armor, will help with that. Find a spell you can cast a lot in the Illusion school, and cast it all the time. Also, buying more spells, to use, will help somewhat. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Chameleon is an illusion spell. Using that all of the time, and switching between sword and hands, you should do well.
Celice
OOO does include something which modifies the amount of experience necessary to level up with--if memory serves, the default is about double, which is nice. I'm about 35 hours at level 13, so you're actually better off than I am ^^

Beriadan
Try turning up the difficulty. I don't think that you get more experiance as the difficulty level increases for doing the quests it just makes them take longer. You should make fights last longer and do combo moves like, cast flare, block his attack then power and quick attacks, that combined with igher difficulty will make fights last longer and you will use more of your major abilities. And the more you use them, the more they level up.
