Honestly, Fallout 3 is similar to oblivion, and look at all of the stuff that people have made of oblivion, custom creatures, animals, companions, dragons, a lot of stuff. (currently of ThreePanelSoul - link withheld, in case there's some unknown rule against links to non-game-related sites, namely a webcomic... but you should be able to guess it, pretty easily.
