DracoBoprealis
Tenpeny suite has all the amnedies the favela style shack gives you, you can always grab the bublehead and do all the quests before blowing this silly place up and one big advantage of tower are npcs who're not suicidal.
jgarling
I like the Tenpenny Tower. The two traders there are better than Moira. They tend to have more ammo and gear than Moira... and when you are rolling through Mini-gun ammo like it was breakfast cereal, you need people like that. jaysus
i agree on the traders... and it has clean water!looks terrible tho... and except for comrade cheng and dashwood the inhabitants are jerks i rather retreat in my cozy love shack down in megato(w)n with clover trying on her new sexy sleepwear she (well i) stole at tenpennies... Sabat9
i thought i read you could get both residences without console cheating? something to do with bribing someone? anyway, all the cool kids hang out in Megaton.
UlrikS
Tenpenny ** SNIP ** Megaton is way better - you don't have all the snobs hanging around. EDIT by LHammonds: Watch your language. Bypassing the foul language filter is not a smart idea.
LHammonds
which should i choose? is there a way to get both? :thanks:A way was found on how to get both and is documented in this Requests Forum Post but requires the use of console command to reset stages. When you purchase a theme, both locations get the theme. LHammonds
FutureVisions
The chain quest u get from Moira also gives u special perks u cant get anywhere else (SPOILER): like the "limbs regeneration from radiation", like ghouls. Also i'd recommend, you do the "dad info quest" u have when exiting the vault before blowing Megaton up, or u will be stuck with no info on what to do or where to go after for that quest, wich might be complicated if you're playing for the first time and have no idea on where to start looking after. So unless u want to pass out on that to get Tenpenny's suite early, dont blow the bomb. If u do want those things and still get the Tenpenny's suite, you can either, do the Megaton quests before blowing it up, and thats gonna take a long time (especially the moira chain), wich means u wont have a house of our own during that period, or you can cheat to get both houses early on.I think the sane way to go, is to stick with megaton house at least for the first time u play the game. No matter how awsome that mushroom cloud looks, especially at night :PSeriously what was bethesda thinking when they built this sequence? If u dont do it in the right order u loose lots of stuff u can only get in Megaton.
LHammonds
Seriously what was bethesda thinking when they built this sequence? If u dont do it in the right order u loose lots of stuff u can only get in Megaton.Well, isn't that kinda the point though? If you kill somebody, think of all the benefits to society (and even you) if that person is no longer on this planet. Now amplify that to an entire town. People do not typically kill medics or vendors because they offer a valuable service directly to you. I think this is an underlying message about death and violence in general. This reminds me of the old saying "If you're gonna be stupid, you gotta be tough." ;) I think details like this should be even more involved. Typically, once you finish a quest-line or certain dialog with an NPC, it is over. Would be nice if at some point things open back up based on events (such as becoming the savior of a certain town where that individual has relatives or supply chains open up allowing more trade, more news, more quests, etc.) So if you kill an NPC after you exploited them, you do not really know if they had other things to offer later down the road.
