NMM says I have zero mods, but the game disagrees

Two days ago, I decided to rekindle the Skyrim flame after a few months of inactivity. The NMM shows that I have absolutely none of the 27 mods I downloaded through Nexus. When I boot up the game, the mods cycle through the mods as if nothing happened.

A glitch? Or is there something I need to be worried about? I have not attempted any downloads since discovering this disparity.

Is that the word I want to use? Disparity? heheh.

First, you have nothing to worry about. You have evidently loaded your mods manually. You need to look into your NMM and make sure that it is showing the correct path to your Skyrim game (it likely isn't right now). Thus, Skyrim "sees" your mods but NMM does not. You can do the same thing with any other mod manager as well, by the way.
