ArtMurder
Maybe someone has already pointed this out, or maybe this video is a really good fake, but it was just posted a day or two ago, and I'm pretty excited about it. And sorry if this is the wrong section, or I did something else wrong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4Xh2UzNmfM
scottym23
You must really be unobservant haha. Yeah it's real and if you went to the Bethesda YouTube channel you could have seen it there to confirm it's legit. Also it's been posted on the forums a bunch of times already >.>. I'm super excited about it too, can't wait!!

I'm super excited about it too, can't wait!!I figure it was real, but I know there is an extremely good render-er who has been putting out TES fakes. XD And I looked around and didn't see anything about it, so i figured I'd post it.
Inquart
I have to say, it looks interesting. Even though I'd always thought that there is only one Dovahkiin at a time or maybe even one within an entire era, I really like the idea of fighting some ancient Dragonborn after his resurrection. I always suspecyed another dragonborn in skyrim, so it didn't come as a shock to me. XD

I always suspecyed another dragonborn in skyrim, so it didn't come as a shock to me. XD You're right about that little confusion when it comes to our hero being either the only one Dovahkiin or rather one of them, but I think the thing with that ancient Dragonborn on Solstheim is that he was a Dragon Priest back in his time and as any Dragon Priest, he is now returning to life with the Dragons; that said, he was a Dragon Priest who somehow happened to be a Dragonborn also. What I'm trying to say here is that I think - but that's only my opinion - the Dragonborn we control in Skyrim is the only "human" Dragonborn out there, while the one on Solstheim was rather a Dragon Priest with some Dragonborn powers (maybe he was some kind of fallen Dragonborn or other abomination?), thus his return to life effectively gives us two Dragonborns: the one we control, human with Dragon's soul, and that ancient one on Solstheim. I hope you understand what I mean :D
LordSarcasm
Do you think the dragon ride will be a true honest to goodness chance to mount a dragon in combat, or just another Odahviing scene? I really hope it means we get to control a dragon, or at the very least get to watch the whole scene.
modder3434
i doubt you will be able to fight on dragonback. however controlling the dragon might be a possibility.
justwannaddl
I have doubts that player controlled dragon riding will be featured since the major cities of Skyrim are all in separate spaces without an open cities mod. Any type of flying or climbing add-ons would be problematic since climbing into the current large cities will only lead to empty half rendered structures. Still, seeing how they have been slowly implementing features players have been clamoring for, I wouldn't be too surprised if they did do so for Solstheim alone. It really irks me to see spears and crossbows as part of the DLCs though. It makes me wonder if the many dumb trolls who argued about why Skyrim didn't need them caused them not implement the features as part of the original release. Then again, more than likely, the main reason they are being put out as parts of DLCs is probably just to ensure people will pay more for them. I wouldn't be surprised if they slip in climbing/levitation or spell making in a DLC one day if that is the case. That this expansion is in Solstheim makes perfect sense as Skyrim's answer to Oblivion's Shivering Isles. Just looking at the half snowy, half green map reminds me of the duality of the Isles. It does raise questions like whether you can start a new game and just jump into the DLC or are you expected to have an endgame character before you fight the Dragon Priest. Hopefully it is the latter since it would suck if this Dragonborn Priest is weaker than the other dragon priests.

All they were was a group of Nords that worshiped the dragons and were thus given the masks as a reward. They were just as human as the Dovahkiin the player controls is now. And in the lore and story it says that there were many dragonborns in the past, but you are the only one that is known of still alive today in Skyrim.
