thriller16161
OK, I just installed a clean build of Steam Oblivion GOTY. later I added OOO and the unofficial patches using OBMM. These are the only mods i have installed. After I installed them I used BOSS and BSA redirection from the Archive invalidation window. When I start a new game the vanilla textures are still showing. I have searched all the forums and tried everything but the new textures wont appear. I have tried:manually changing the timestamps on the .BSAsArchiveinvalidaion invalidateddeleating the Archiveinvalidation filedeleting and recreating the Oblivion.ini fileusing WYRE BASH instead of obmm.Installing the game in a file outside of program files I have been trying for about three weeks now and can't get it to work. LFact
Check the date of vanilla bsa file. If it is not around 2006-xx-xx or so, you have to change the date.
thriller16161
Check the date of vanilla bsa file. If it is not around 2006-xx-xx or so, you have to change the date. I tired that. All the .BSA's in the data folder are dated in 2006 while the redirection is dated today.
Hickory
Oblivion Mod Manager (the latest) uses BSA redirection by default. You do not need to force anything. With ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated you need to add the name of the .bsa to the [Archive] section in Oblivion.ini (Documents\My Games\Oblivion). It needs to be added RIGHT AT THE START, like so: SArchiveList=ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Oblivion - Meshes.bsa, Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa, ........etc.

Hickory
Since you only have OOO installed, was it a scripted installation (OBMM) and which textures are not showing up?
thriller16161
Since you only have OOO installed, was it a scripted installation (OBMM) and which textures are not showing up? When I installed OOO, I used OBMM to put it in an archive and used the script that came with the mod. Whenever I try to start a new game the vanilla prison textures show up. When I installed OOO, I used OBMM to put it in an archive and used the script that came with the mod. Whenever I try to start a new game the vanilla prison textures show up. Hang on a moment... what is the problem, then? OOO does not alter any vanilla prison textures, unless you are talking about the armour that Captain Renault wears? thriller16161
You sure?I thought that OOO gave you the textures shown in this clip:
Hickory
You sure?I thought that OOO gave you the textures shown in this clip: I have played it for long enough... I should be sure. OOO is a game overhaul, NOT a texture overhaul. If you want a texture overhaul you go for something like Quarls.
