Okay I have heard alot about this, but I really would like to know the exact way to do this because I dont want to go through the boring parts of the main quest, and I dont want to permenantly lose HP. I have the Xbox version.

Um. Well said.

If you are referring to the possiblity of gaining unlimited copies of Jon Hawker's gloves, do the following:

1) Only give him one scroll, and only accept the gloves once.

2)Do not give him multiple scrolls, or accept the gloves more than once.

The 'glitch' is that your Reputation will continue to increase until you run out of DI scrolls, or until you stop talking to him.

The glitch can only be exploited if the Player chooses to give Hawker multiple scrolls.

Incidentally, the same bug is present with Ama Nin, the earthly manifestation of Mara.

I dont want to permenantly lose HP

This bug has no effect on HP.

Next time, take the time to actually explain what you are asking, rather than stating that you are looking for information briefly hinted at in the title.

 Err sorry I was being rushed at the time, Ill explain more now. I want to complete the main quest with Dagoth Ur and such, but I do not want to do the Backpath method because it takes away HP from you permenantly. I heard rumors that if you gain a certain amount of reputation from this glitch you can just goto Lord Vivec and he will give you the Wraithguard and the last few quests. I do not know how reliable this information is and I just wanted to confirm or disregard the method. But if this is a way to finish the main quest without going through the long Neravaine quests (particularly the Horotar part....I hated that) and without losing any HP due to the backdoor path I would really appreciate any information on how to exactly do this. Again, sorry about being so brief and noobish, I really dont act like that normally >_<

The meet with Vivec has nothing to do with reputation -- even if you have a reputation beyond 100, he still will not talk with you unless you are named Hortator of all three houses, considered Nerevarine by all Ashlander clans, and given permission by Tholer Saryoni. In addition to this, there are no "last few quests --" when you get to that point, it's just a matter of the big confrontation and the tools needed to make it happen.

If you don't want to lose health permanently from the second wraithguard method I think you can just cast a few high level fortify health spells and the damage max health will simply eat into those bonuses rather than your original health. That is what the guy recommends you do...

Reputation has no effect on anything in the original game save the greetings although there may be mods that use it.

Well, there are some situations where reputation matters. For example, you can't do BackPath without a certain reputation level -- Mr. Bagarn will simply tell you that people won't take kindly to someone stepping off a ship and being the savior of their people a day later. Actually, perhaps that's what you were thinking about with this...

I am virtually certain that in a couple of my games, including my most recent, that I've been told by an NPC that Saronyi wants to meet with me (for the discussion prior to meeting Vivec) before I've completed all the Hortator/Nervearine cricuit although I don't remember the exact pointit occurred. I think it may be level triggered rather than reputation but not certain. I may be able to pinpoint more specificically when it happened in my current game by going back though my journal since I think there should be an entry for the meeting request. In the latest game I did finish the Nevarine/Hortator quests before meeting with Saronyi and vivec but I do not think you need to complete all those as a prerequiisite.
