Viewing images on mod pages

When you go to check out a mod before you download it, there are "Images" of the mod in action in-game supplied by the author of said mod. Right? There are also little arrows on each side of these images so you can page through the images without having to start over from the mod description page. OK. Well, recently I no longer have these little arrows. Anyone know how I can get them back?

Heya Dark! Yeah, I know the navigation arrows that you"re talking about.

I just looked over a couple of different mods. Both in firefox, and in opera. Both of them had the navigation arrows.

So I went tooling around in the account settings and site preferences. I don't see anything about them there either.

Unless there's something there that I missed, I'm thinking that it's either something about that mod page, if you want to give me a link, I'll check it out.

Or that it's something about your browser. Either a setting that is out of place to allow the java on the site to work, an addon that isn't working well with the nexus, or something hiding in the browser. Like an old page or script in your browser cache or possibly even a tracker or other malware that might be hiding there somewhere. (Those are incredibly hard to find and get rid of!)

The first thing I'd recommend doing, is to clean out your browser by clearing it's cache files, and then running a cleaner utility on your drive, like CCleaner, or some of the other free tools.

Maybe also clean out your cookies too, tho that will mean that you'll have to log back in on all the sites you've got passwords to.

Hope this helps!

PS- at least for me, I can side scroll through those pics using the scrollwheel on my mouse, once I've got one of them open.

Weird. I switched over to MS Explorer from Excite. Got my arrows back. Seems that Excite doesn't allow Java and that was the bugger. Thanks for getting me thinking on the right track. He, he

Here's another kind of strange one I just ran into - I'm checking out the companion mod, Ivy, from "that other site" and out of the blue she starts flying around with her arms in the "T' position. So it's like, "s#*!! I broke her already!" I've read about this before, but never experienced it. I calmed down and thought about what I had done with the game since I installed her and it came to me - I had used Looksmenu to change her hair. A bit later, I used the console command, "tcl", to install some turrets in an out-of-reach spot in one of my settlements. Soon after that, Ivy started flying. Out of curiosity, I opened the console again, and sure enough, her ID was still selected when I used "TCL" again. When I hit "enter", selected nothing and left the console, all was well with her. No more flying.

OK, now back to testing her. Glad that worked out. He, he

dark, glad to see that you've got the pic functionality back up to speed again :)

lol interesting that. I'll try to remember that if anybody else runs into it!

Yeah some of the console can do some wierd stuff. I was trying out the NPC version of activating LooksMenu, through Amazing Follower Tweaks, and I'd used "tfc" Toggle Free Cam to get a better angle on the bodyslide changes I was gonna make on the character. I finished it up, and then used TFC again.

**I'M** in T-pose!! I can't remember if it was dropping down into sneak, jumping, or holstering my weapon that did it, but yeah.... that was just the darndest thing!!!

Then later on, I've used TFC for using Looksmenu on my own character, and same thing occured. It's really wierd stuff bro!

Now I've got something else going on with my character. I'm using an enhanced sneak mod that using new animations for a sneak kill. (Love my K. Tooth!) Sometimes, not always, but sometimes after the kill when my character comes back to a standing position, I can only look from side to side. No up and down. I tried to "escape" out of it, and even tried "TFC" and "TCL". No go. The only thing that seems to work is going back to a previous save. Bummer. Must be something with the new animation. Guess I'll head over to the mod's page and see if anyone else is experiencing that and if there's a fix.

Here's a couple of other things that you might try.

Strike up a conversation. Sometimes talking to a npc can break an animation loop.

Take a nap. Sleeping can break an animation loop sometimes.

Change clothes. Works every now and then, but not often.

Change weapons. same as that one ^ ^

Use a work bench. Tho this one, every now and then can cause a CTD if you're in an anim loop. Or the loop won't let you use the bench?

That's too bad. I was thinking about trying out some of the new sneak attack mods.

Hope this helps ya out, Dark

aahhhhh!! I think I found out what it is. The author says that sometimes when the NPC you're sneaking up on is in an idle animation, it'll break the sneak-kill animation. Again, sometimes. Yeah, my guy was going through some boxes. OK, glad I know what's causing it. And it's no big deal since I always save before the kill anyway.

Shoot, even with this minor drawback, the mod is still worth using. Don't let a little thing like this make you shy away from checking these mods out

Do me a favor and check out the search function on the main Nexus mod page. It doesn't always work for me. (The quick search box)

The search bar "usually" works ok for me. Regardless of whether I'm on the main age, or one of the game's sub-sections. I do have issues with it tho, if I've got too many tabs open. That's a browser resource issue tho, here on my PC.

ummmm.... which mod is it that we're talking about? I wanna make sure I get the right one ;)

Heyas Dark! Thanks for the link! Yeah, that's good, because that's not the one I was looking at.

Um. so, I don't get it. How is this different from the standard attacks? Are you guaranteed a killmove? And why the holotape? Those vids weren't very good at describing any of that.
