quantico21
I usually do my adventure and mission with 3 companions at the same time (Piper, Curie, Cait). I usually try to help people, and try to settle problem peacefully. My play style align with what Curie and Piper like, but not with Cait, and it annoys me. Every time I try to help settlement Curie and Piper like my action, but got disliked by Cait. Every time I try to do peaceful play again, Cait prefer to do it chaotic. Every time I got drunk, Cait like it, but not Piper and Curie. I just want all 3 of them happy. Is there any way to change Cait likes and dislikes are? Thanks alot Edited January 11, 2020 by quantico21
robotized
Maybe there is. I think the values for this are inside "companionactorscript" that is attached to NPC Companion Cait. More particular settings inside the script - TraitPreference_Array and EventData_Array. I have opened companion records and the script out of curiosity. I haven't done this before so I can't confirm. It is not an easy task. You got to be familiar with using the Creation Kit at least.
AeonsLegend
I created one for Strong for myself where he doesn't care anymore. It's not perfect, because he will still complain, but at least the affinity doesn't go down. All of it is scripted so it's possible. You can do this through FO4 Edit. It's actually not hard. StormWolf01
I know that there's several mods that add changes to the negative affinity for strong, and for danse. I have not seen one especially for Cait.I personally really like this one tho https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3276but it effects ALL the companions. quantico21
Does she still dislike it after her quest?Well still , in general Cait preference is polar opposite to what Piper and Curie preference. Piper and Curie likes helping innocent and settlement, Cait dislike helping settler and like being mean. They support dialogue which ended up avoiding fighting, but Cait dislike that.I support The Railroad on my play-through, but Cait dislike supporting the Railroad. Yeah, you have to keep it pretty far down in the load order. And it's actually better to manually install it, just putting in the esp files that you want, instead of letting the installer try to do it. Here's instructions on how to update older mods to work with the newer version of the game. Even if you don't want to use this mod, this right here is good info to have. But it will mean that you will have to download and install Xedit. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2737/ or open the mods in the CK. I don't use the CK, so I can only tell you how to do it in Xedit. Before doing this, make backup copies of the esp/esm/esl files that you are going to edit, just in case!! After installing Xedit (also I apologize, I almost always typo this as "exit". So I'll apologize in advance if I do, and miss it!) it will bring up a list of ALL your installed mods. Press the CTRL key and tap the A key on your keyboard to highlight the entire list. Uncheck ONE mod in the list, and since they are all highlighted it will uncheck all of them. Now, single click one of the mods in the list, to undo the highlight all. Now, put check marks next to the mods that we need to update. Then click Okay, or Load (can't remember what the button says, atm.) That will take a minute or two. Once it loads all the files for the mods, you will see them listed in the left hand panel. They will have a + sign beside their name. Click on the + to expand the list for that mod. You will then see a file that says HEADER. Click on that, and it will open in the right hand side panel. You're going to want to look for the version number. If the mod hasn't been updated, it will most likely read something close to 0.950000 You will want to right click that version number, choose edit, and type in 1.000000 I recommend using copy and paste. Also, a big popup is going to spring up, asking if you're sure that you want to make changes to the file. Don't freak out, that's just Xedit doing a double check, it's perfectly normal. Once you have that mod edited, you will have to do the same thing with the next mod. Rinse and repeat until all three have been updated. When you're finished updating the headers, press and hold your CTRL key, and tap the S key. That will have xedit save the changes to the files. It looks like it might be something complex. But once you've got xedit up and running, it's something that only takes like 3 seconds to do. ;)
robotized
Ok, I gave it a try. If you decide to use this, test it first. Don't save you game, unless you have played for a while and seen positive results. Keep the last save before this intact. I am not sure if any changes will work, when you already have Cait recruited. Maybe dismiss her, fast travel and enter interior location, then get back to her and recruit again. Then start praying to Preston to send you help a settlement. She dislikes drinking only when her story quest is complete.Esp should work with latest game update, as StormWolf pointed out - version 1 for file header. It's tagged as ESL. Edit: I did a little bit of testing myself. Esp seems to work. Here is some info on what I changedScreenshotChem and alcohol related reactions should switch to "dislike" once her quest line is completed. Helping out settlements raises affinity, it is not just a message that pops. Edit2: I stopped working on this. All links will probably be removed.
